Cleaning up moddb and portfolio system. Thread

Hey guys,
I've just had a few ideas for how to improve the site, it works fine at the moment but it could be even better.

Idea One
My first idea is to change the front page underneath the real of popular mods to a walll of mod releases and updates so its easy to browse through, as at the moment it just seems to show the latest stuff, they could also have a few more ways to sort news on mods, ie by popularity etc.

Idea Two
I think that there should be a portfolio view on mod db where it shows users and their projects, this way people who are serious about making games could meet up and start developing, thus eliminating the request that litter the forums from idea man.

I do have experience in web development (html and css) and know that its not the easiest of things to implement complicated interfaces on but these are just some ideas(That will probably never get implemented, but just kicking some around anyway)

agreed, and I highly support the idea of portfolios so creators can shine a bit more
