CHPMod Tribes (it even has a lightsaber!) Thread

Back in Dec 1998 I started this mod with my friends.
It ended sometime in 1999.
I've decided to release this finally, after years of horrible waiting for such a crashy thing.
It's nostalgic value to me, nothing to you, laughs for hammy-bob though
IT EVEN HAS A LIGHTSABER! I SEEN NO TRIBES MOD WITH A LIGHTSABER.

ummm my computer can run a lot of games and i also say that quake 1 is the best fps/engine ever made

No, Tribes 2 looks very low detail and it is crappily optimized. 9 fps on a 700MHz w/ Gf2? Give me a break!

me no likeh tribes 2... course i didnt really like tribes 1, but thats cuz i had to play it sp... and i have no idea where the fo my tribes cd went... its prob with my hl cd

I'm looking forward to Tribes 3, maybe to do with the fact that it's being made by the makers of System Shock 2.

Features boasted are a major single player game, full implementation of the skiing created by the physics system to include ski routes, "a single player game unlike anyone has ever seen before" (wouldn't put it past them), multiple controllable characters, and sports based online modes described as "Tony Hawk's with spinfusors!". Plus the lastest Unreal tech. Sounds good to me.
