Cannot upload a file from google drive Thread

Hi!

I am unable to upload my release. Due size, 5Gb, I am trying to use link to ur to Google Drive, but its impossible due time out error. Tried to split the file into 2Gb, but it didnt work either.

What I am doing wrong? Thanks

Hi, normally it is impossible to upload file via indirect links.

You need a direct link to the file to upload it via WWW, and you cannot use FTP, so for example you need an url like www.yourserverwebsite.net/games/mygamedownload.rar or www.yourserverwebsite.net/games/mygamedownload.exe

So files can be only either manually uploaded from your PC or direct links.

The site file uploader cannot automatically resolve download pages redirecting user to files elsewhere (websites processing download requests, not providing direct links to files).

That is correct. You would need a server that allows direct URLs to upload files from links.
