You wont need to decompile maps to obtain the textures. They will either be in the materials folder or the game data files ( GCFScape to extract ) - obviously you need to be wary if you have permission to re-use these textures etc. |

you know there is a way to add 3 brushes to your map so it can not be decompiled. -- Mist of Stagnation - A FPS/RTS based in a Steampunk world, built in DX11 with the UDK. |

lol VMEX is actually impossible to beat, the geniuses behind it will make sure of that, of course there are ways to stop the noobs using vmex from decompiling your map, imo de-compiling is o.k as a learning experience to see how they did things (while i was learning mappng, i myself decompiled 2 maps) but to edit it slightly and pass it off fo your own is just terrible -- 404 NOT FOUND |
