1. Poser 6 any good for creating characters for animation and games?

And, Any way to use one of those total 3d home software?

I just happened to look at one of those and they have so many premade 3d models available I would imagine it would be impossible or illegal to export them into your games but thought I would ask. to me it would be great to have tonsof random appliances and furniture available and the available textures they have.

Poser is cheap, it won't earn you any respect from game/mod developers. You're better of learning how to model, rig and animate a character yourself, because then not only can you model human characters (probably the hardest thing to do) but you have a knowledge of how that shit actually works, not just having it automatically done for you extremely cheaply.

Secondly, I know what you mean but I don't know of any sort of software that has high quality, fully modelled and skinned furniture. If there was, there would likely be a way to get it, but without an example I can't give a more detailed answer
