Hi,

Recently, my game's page was archived because I wasn't able to meet the site's minimum requirements to keep it up. It was a huge mistake on my part for failing to know there was a time limit to put up all the necessary assets on the page.

It has since been restored, thanks to the support team, but I want to remain in good terms with slidedb.

In the email I received about it being archived, one of the reasons included:

- Lacking news
- Lacking images
- Lacking videos
- Lacking downloads
- Poor formatting / quality

My questions are:

How often should I provide news updates on my Game's page in order avoid having it archived? My twitter account is linked to my page; would tweeting be considered a progress update? What if my game is consider "gold" and can't provide any news? What happens then?

Can I get away with not posting a video or is that a must as well?

Should I upload my game's APK slidedb as well? For that matter, should I immediately upload an updated APK each time I release a new update on Google Play too?

And finally, does "Lacking Downloads" mean there are no downloadable things on my page or that no one is downloading the file(s) I made available?

Your game page should not be archived, normally. Only very bad quality games are archived and not displayed in the listing (community members can still access them if they have links).

Oh, just checked, seems like one of the admins accidentally archived your page instead of un-authorising it (back from the deleted / temporarily authorised state). So there is nothing to worry about except for archived articles. Regarding any kind of news, you need to embed a good deal of images (at least 6 for IndieDB and around 4 for other DB sister sites; other singular media pieces such as Sketchfab previews, Soundcloud audio snippets etc can be included instead of images too) or one fresh video (your own, someone else's let's play's do not count yet they can still be added as extras to make the article even richer in media) to land your article on the front page.
