Where what yah do you press your hand against the screen then vertex around it.

I use hand reference pictures. That advice above isn't very effective, and near impossible if you have an old CRT monitor that shocksya at the screen.

and dirty, you'd have paw prints all over your screen

and it wouldnt be incredibly helpful for any reference...

I don't have trouble modelling the shape of the hand, I have trouble placing the vertices and polygons. It's so packed tight with detail compared to the rest of the body.

I think Fniggium will have glove-like-modelled-hands, like Deus Ex.
