i have a Friend who is in the usa army and hi is serving in the usa army somewhere in italy and now hi is a Colonel. I was just thinking about my 2 mods idea's and the other one will be a very Special Mod For C&C Generals-Zero Hour. These Brave Soldiers & Troops Who
Give There Lifes For Our Freedom & Justice & Our Dream
i will try to phone my Friend later this week or after i come
back from my vacation. I Know him -my Friend who is in the usa army i feel & i hope his already.
Tell me what all of you think about my other idea For C&CGenerals Zero Hour a Special Mod
and you can come up with a name for the mod a Very Good Name

and i will add a poll which one of 2 works

Well, this seems like a good idea.

I wont however get into the politics of "freedom" and "justice" nor would not download a pro-American 'Dream' mod.

But I support you in putting your feelings and emotions into the mod project - I hope all goes well for you.

As for a name - try using a phrase that has been used when talking about the 'war'.

"God Bless America"

or something else monumental is definitly called for;

"Fight For Freedom"

"Lest We Forget" (Which is what the monuments for Canadian soldiers of WWII have on them ususally...I'm not sure where else.)

"Bruised Not Broken" also comes to mind as a possible title.

I can't read that jumbled mess, and let wordwrap do your indenting. From the sound of it you are really into the US army mainly because of your friend. If you have any modding experience whatsoever please rephrase it. Then, think of your own mod name, if you have so little creativity that you can't think up your own mod's name this isn't going to work out.

There is nothing wrong with asking for a mod name - the name is important and the hardest thing to do. Well, not the *hardest* but usually poses a challenge.

It is much easier however once the ball is rolling even just a bit and you have some product to look at and say "hey!, that looks like it should be called ______"

I like the Idea. I think his Mod would be great and He's got my support. I can't help him out at the moment since I have my own Mod to worry about, but I think I could help him a little. Steer him in the right direction if you will. I think the modding world needs something that shows us what happened during the start of the war and something full of action. Just make sure to get the weapons right and I might Download it. That is once it comes out and is finished.

Hey, no offence man but I like that Idea and one question, ARE YOU an American or not? Because that sounded unpatriotic to me pal! I may be wrong but it did sound like it sir. And I understand that people would like a Mod based on a different Country but, during a time of war in the U.S America needs these things for Morale and other smaller things. I say he's got my support all the way.

Be inventive, America at War is what we see every single day and it's getting tiresome for numerous reasons.

One, Belgium doesn't have the Military strenth or power to take over the world. Two, we're at war People! As long as we are there are going to be Mods on the American Military to boost morale and also make a great Mod at the same time. I mean geez. I support Bush and the military. Now that does not mean I believe Bush always made the right decisions. He planned to go into Iraq to take Sadam, but he didn't make a plan on how to get out after Sadam was captured. Still Kerry was an Idiot! He always said I have a plan and I promise this but did not tell us what that plan was. And you can't just pull the Military out of war just like that. Then the enemy would think we were whimps and do another attack like or worse than 9/11. Kerry is stupid!

Don't turn this into a political debate please. I would like to say, if I may, that an American Tribute mod would be an awesome idea. I am not saying that America is the only people that are over there and that we do everything single handedly, heck even just a allied military tribute mod would be cool in my opinion.

I won't turn this into something. Still think it's a great Idea though. I really do. That's going to be the Phone. Got to go.

No, I'm not an American. I'm from Australia. America is not the only ones fighting wars. We have troops in Iraq at the moment. If this mod was a tibute it would tribute all the people over there. The US is not the only country in the world!

I think what needs to important in this is that the mod shows more as a tribute and not just another "WOOHOO WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE WIN FIGHTS AND KILL PEOPLE WHO ARE BAD" type of mod. People are sick of those games. Especially ones involving the United States.

A tribute really needs to be something artistic.

The US may be 'at war' or 'invading another country' or 'exploiting and stealing resources of an already impoverished nation' - whatever you believe, the fact remains that there are people from all countries over there fighting for 'something'

Personally, I don't believe in what they are fighting for - but they have my support that they come home safe to their families. Their families are fighting this war as well. But fighting it in a different way.

Fighting is a different way is also what Sept 11th was truely about. I did admire what Bush did for his country and keeping them together in their time of need. There are many heroes to talk about during that time.

If you are going to make a modifiction of war game to honour those who are fighting - you really have to make the mod less about the fighting. It's almost like walking on broken glass.

I may be straying a bit here, but an SP mod based on the Rape of Belgium during WWI would be quite cool... a few, brave, neutral Belgian soldiers defending against and overwhelming aggressive enemy.

On topic,I like the idea. I wonder if Insurgency or any of the other 'main' modern day mods are doing anything like this? As far as i know, there arent any other major modern day war mods using CnC, so i think youre good there.

You're right about America not being the only country in the world FrozenSoul80 but it does say Tribute to Us Army. But after i'm fineshed with Owen Frost helljumper, I'm making a Mod based on the Whole entire British, American and Austrailien Military and it'll be based in Somilia. I have been thinking about something like that. But before we go off topic and start a total Flame war, I think we should let the guy make the Mod. It would be nice to play. Also, I did here about that new game coming out soon. About the army and all.
