A black hole forum Thread

basic concept: A closed forum with a thread made per banned person, with reason. There is no discussion in the forum for anyone, and only administrators (or in this case, forum/user managers) can create threads in it. A thread would explain the reason banned, quote a specific rule, and link to anchored posts of examples. This way, people can stop annoying with questions and have the information on why did DarkPredator get an X?

A fine example is Capcom BBS's Black Hole forum.

although public humiliation is against the moddb staff's morals (I know this myself back when re-banned profiles were vandalized), It Seems To Work With™ Capcom.

there is also some sort of system like this at the penny-arcade forums

you can go to jail for a set amount of time, and there is one thread where the mod who sent you to jail makes fun of you

though that's only an unverbose list, more suited for mass bannings.

you could confine the banned people to a 'enter forum at own risk' forum where there are no rules except about warez. then you could diss them properly

well the forum idea is really good, another idea though is when the person is banned on their profile where the red text is at the top instead of saying this person was banned for not obeying rules have it say "This person was banned for "comment here"" and the mod that banned them can insert the reason why they banned them.

I like Cheapy's idea here. It would help other people not to make the same mistakes as others and satisfy my curiousity

Might be a good idea if enough people support it. But I can see a lot more people who just don't care why people get banned.

Yeah that would be cool, and it would definitly have to be closed, lest we have a flame war on our hands every time someone gets banned.
