Hi

Looking for a 2D Pixel artist who is UK based preferably.

I'm currently creating my own game in Unity 2D, for the PC to sell on Steam as the ultimate goal. It has been in development for about 3 months but I require an artist in order to progress.

I want to take the ideas and memories of my childhood (Amiga) and turn them into modern games. There's currently lots going on in my head but I have focused my attention into one specific game I want to make, for the time being anyway. It is a simple concept but with a lot of game depth. More details can be provided when you get in contact.

I have several years experience of professional embedded development and have always been driven to learn new things and work until I get it right. I have mainly been an embedded engineer and have only developed applications to aid with testing the embedded development. I have gotten pretty good in Unity after spending hours in the environment.
I am looking for a 2D Pixel artist only at the moment, to work for free but will be paid a percentage of profits that are made. My drawing skills are terrible, but my programming logic and skill set is very high. I have also recruited a Music Composer and Marketer.

The game idea is kind of a cross over of Shadow of the Beast and Metal Slug, if you can imagine such a thing! I was blown over by the art, style (Parallax) and music of the first part of the game (Shadow of the beast), where you are running across the field and wondered how that could be recreated in a modern 2D game and extended into its own game, using the bullet hell and action elements from a game like Metal Slug, with the addition of Rogue like elements. R-type is also a game that will always stick out and this is what lured me to Metal Slug as a reference, as the game will be a 2D parallax rogue-like shooter.

I'm looking for an individual who is ambitious, determined and excited to create this game.

I already have my own company called Lindian Software and plan to publish it under that name.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks.
