Post feature Report RSS Captains Log Part 3

With the Carrack just to my right, do i attack or run and accept the 4Ibs cannons from the Heavy Caravel i boarded and sunk earlier?

You may say it was dumb, i thourght it was fun to be honest. I lost a lot of crew but i did sink 3 ships. The Heavy Caravel, Carrack and a Cutter that gave chase to me as i limped away after loosing a mast before boarding the Carrack. The good news was the forth ship was a Spanish Battle Galleon and didn't give chase to me, so i live for another battle some day. I just need to get back to Bermuda and sell these 4Ibs cannons and repair my ship and see if their are any crazy people wanting to join my crew. Might have to think about going else where for crew soon at this rate, because Bermuda will soon start calling me captain death or something stupid like that.

Nice, i was expecting a hefty repair bill. Good to see that this ship is cheap to repair as well. Maybe i should look at increasing the ships speed one day, so i can board ships quicker reducing the amount of chances they get to damage my ship and kill my crew members. Oh and i got 25k for those cannons which wasn't to bad i guess, would still have liked that to be gold though.

It didn't take long after leaving Bermuda to find a fleet to attack, this fleet has a ship i want to blow the hell out of. Yes its the Heavy Barque, i figure by sinking it i will be doing the captain of her a favoure. The other ships are (from front to rear) Pinnace Berline, Hebek, Schooner, Heavy Barque.

Well that wasn't good, i wanted to blow some holes in the ship and sink her but the captain decided to board us. Their lose as they lost their lives and another ship goes to Davy Jones. Now who's next, as you can see i have overloaded my ship with crew so that i could fight bigger ships or more a few smaller ships.

Their goes the Schooner, and we only lost 1 crewmember in that battle. I wounder how the Hebek and Pinnace Berlin will be in the boarding fights because they should have more crew than me. I will have to fire grapeshots i guess like we did to the Schooner before boarding, to give ourselves a better chance.

Oh, they are running. Better catch them because they could be loaded with the more valueable goods, the Heavy Barque had fish and the Schooner had wheat. They had better have gold on these last 2 ships or something more valueable at least.

What Paprika, what the hell am i to do with Paprika, maybe the fish will find it of more use. That Pinnace Berlin which is now behind us had better have something of conciderable value onboard. If not then maybe the ship will be of some use for a captain. I personally don't want to have a convoy of ships just yet but if the ship is good enough then it could come in handy in larger battles or as an escape goat should i need one.

Hohoho, i now have the excellent spyglass. Sorry but i like to be able to see what the enemy ships have so i know what i am up against, this spyglass isn't the best but its much better than what i have and that is good news.

Hmmm, not bad i guess. It all helps though and with the crew wages due soon it will help to keep my overall balance at a nice acceptable level. I wounder if they have anything of use in the cargohold.

Why i ask, how can i find the dunbest merchants. Fish, Wheat, Paprika and now bloody Bricks. For the love of god what is going on, where's the gold, Mahogany, Sandalwood and everything else of good value. No one even surrendering, i must be loosing my edge over these merchants or something. And to make things worse, the Pinnace Berlin is of no use to me at all.

Not to bad, could have been much worse. The one thing i don't like is parting with money and here i am having to pay the crew again, of course the last time i payed the crew they was dead so maybe if i keep this crew alive they may ask for less money each month, i hope. Keeping them alive is going to be a challange though.

Thanks bud, i am having a good time. I don't normally play as the pirates because i tend to start of as a merchant from the get go, but i wanted to show the differences between starting as a pirate since it requires a different way of playing. I am working on part 4, should be ready sometime tomorrow or Saturday.
