Xash3D is a custom Gold Source build from a scratch. Hello, friends! We are glad to inform you, that after months of painstaking work new build of Xash3D engine is avaliable for download. Build 2015 contains a lot of bug fixes, improvements and new advanced features. Also Xash3D engine was tested for compatibility with many popular Half-Life mods and for this moment a list of successfully completed mods exceeds 150 different singleplayer mods. Hello, friends! We are glad to inform you, that after months of painstaking work new public build of Xash3D engine is avaliable for download. Build 2015 contains a lot of bug fixes, improvements and new advanced features. Here are some of them (for more details please check change.log which is included in a file for download):

1. Added new 'rendermode' 6 - kRenderWorldGlow. Like in HL2 this mode keeps glow sprites size constant in a worldspace instead of classic HL glow mode that works in a screenspace.

2. Serialization of in-game sounds. Game saves a precise point for any sound (exclude looped) which is playing during the moment of saving the game. This means that after loading of the saved game all sounds will resume their playback from corresponding points. This feature works in any modification.

3. Serialization of background track (if it's playing of course).

4. Added a support for loading game dlls (like hl.dll or client.dll) from PAK-files. This can be useful for creating all-in-one PAK-files with almost all mod's files. And please remember, that Xash3D also supports custom names for PAK-files with sorting of their priority in alphabetical order.

5. New mode: transparent texture + conveyor. For proper effect a texture's name must starts with "{scroll".

6. Allowed a big world sizes (up to 32768 units on a map). A demonstration will be included in XashXT mod (when it be released).

7. TriAPI interface at the server-side for debug purposes. E.g. for visualize a collision hulls etc.

8. Added a new console command calling "mapstats", which is works like tool "bspinfo" but directly in the game.

9. A mirror's code optimization. Now the game engine makes one pass for all mirror fragments on a same plane. This feature is very useful for saving a common FPS rate for scenes with mirror surfaces.

10. Added a support for right drawing of decals on transparent surfaces (which names start with prexfix '{').

Also Xash3D engine was tested for compatibility with many popular Half-Life mods and at this moment a list of successfully completed mods exceeds 150 different singleplayer mods. So enjoy and please support the project if you like it! Check the "Downloads" section for downloading the latest build.
