extract this over a clean install of the Axis & Allies game. paste this into your Atari folder to over-write the original data for installation. in the event that the mod doesn't work you can remove the mod by deleting the new Data and video folders. the game's original data is contained in the rwd data files... so all that's required to revert back to the original is to delete the new folders. this mod is 90% finished, but there's still a bit of bug-testing to be done. there is no SP campaign included with this mod. the UI for new campaigns is there, but no missions have been assigned. there is a read-me document included in this zip file. this mod will only work for the English version of the game.

Hello i just need this file to play the game?
you need the English version of the Atari Axis & Allies game. you install this patch into the same folder to over-write the original data. then you can play this heavily modified version of the game. simply installing this patch on your computer won't be enough to play this game. it also will not work on non-English versions of Axis & Allies by Atari.
I found original game and i put the mod, :) simply beautiful!! I follow this mod by times..
Will be amazing also with modern troops :P
However i noticed some glich like pink colours on flags and some cars.. also some nations have building skins of other nations. What about naval units
Thanks
"it also will not work on non-English versions "
Then how am i supposed to change the version of my game? I have only the phisical copy and can't find anything over internet to change the localization to english
naval units, for some nations, can be recruited from a naval base. for a lot of the smaller nations you'll have to place them into the game with the map editor. in WW2 a lot of nations have naval units that get automatically generated on maps that have water.
pink units are usually where a model skin fails to get associated with a model. let us know which ones are pink (nation and unit) and we'll work on fixing that. thanks for the feedback.

could you send me a list of some of these specific buildings and units via private message? I keep reading about this, but nobody gives me any information that I can take action on. it also helps to know if this is in arctic, desert, or temperate biomes. thanks in advance

the UI is "user interface". did you mean remove the AI "artificial intelligence" for the computer? I hadn't thought of doing that. I could try looking into this... but I can't promise I will succeed.
I do know a few things. the games are hard-coded so that only one nation can attack at a time. this means that it is impossible for more than one type of faction to attack at the same time.
only two sides get created in the randomly generated maps: attackers and defenders. even if you have more than one defending Corps HQ from multiple nations only ONE general is summoned. this general is always from the owner of the territory. you could, for example, have three Romanian armies on a Hungarian occupied territory with one Hungarian army on it. when the Hungarian player gets a turn they will have the general (but with access to Romanian buildings and units). when the Romanian player has a turn they will have a Romanian general with access to Hungarian buildings.
thanks for your feedback. I'll see if I can find a way to get each WW2 faction playable. (although, honestly, this seems like a better idea for the original WW2 game... since 5 players would be easier to produce than 16!)
yeah, I mean AI (not UI, sorry). Actually, this better for original AA, where only 5 nations... I tried already many ways... Have no idea... thanks for your answer.. Hope you will.. Belive in you!!

the only way I could see making it work is if the RTS component of WW2 were removed altogether. that would probably make it more like the original boardgame. of course, half the fun of the WW2 map is being able to enter the RTS battles to decide who wins or loses.
even then every faction would have to have the general manually selected and would have to be played in turn.
it would take a brand new menu to select multiple generals (one for each nation) and I don't think I have the skill to make new menus!
what happened when you tried making this work? the types of errors you would get might say a great deal about whether this is possible or not.
