Installation Guide
Important Note: You must have Third Age: Reforged 0.6 installed prior to patching. Also make sure you have WinRAR installed on your computer. This will allow you to extract the downloaded files from their RAR packs.
Step 1: Download Third Age: Reforged 0.7 (Patch).
Step 2: Double-click the downloaded file top open it. Now click the Extract To button in the top left corner of the WinRAR window. Now navigate and extract to the following path:
\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods
Note: If it does not ask you to overwrite anything, you did it incorrectly.
Step 3: To launch the game you can now use the Third Age Reforged.bat file. Simply launch the Third Age Reforged.bat file in order to launch the game and mod. This should work for Steam and Non-Steam users alike.

- Fixed some texture bugs.
- Fixed some scenario floating props.
- Fixed the surfing on a horse (floating) Nazgul... R.I.P. You will be missed.
- Fixed the .bat file launcher (Steam and Non-Steam users should use this now).

- Added preview images to the Reforged custom maps.
- Added a new scenario and custom battle map.
When I launch with the new patch it is telling me that it could not find kingdoms.exe ?
If you are using steam version, you can just right click on .bat, edit.
Then, change "kingdoms.exe" to "medieval2.exe". It should work just fine.
Or, if you don't want to change it, you can go to medieval2 folder, copy "medieval2.exe", paste it, and change its name to "kingdoms.exe"
It will ends the same.
Thanks for the reply but now it says that "Medieval 2 has suffered a fatal error and will now exit" like what it did with the last patch.
did u put 0.7 over 0.6? i suggest u just wait for the install guide video which will come out tommorow...
Yes I followed the installation guide you posted on Steam and 0.6 didn't work. So I downloaded 0.7 and I get the same error. I will have to wait for the video I guess, thank you :)

i found a new fix which might be your solution, open the thirdage reforged folder
go to data
and delete the descr geography txt file
Check to see if your launch option is clear?

That changes nothing for me.
I have one exe in my base folder called medieval2.exe.
Then a folder called mods, which has 5 folders - Teutonic, Britannia etc and one called Third_Age_Reforged, which used to be my Third_Age folder, but which I renamed. In there I extracted the two downloads, so in my Third_Age_Reforged folder I have another folder called Third_Age_Reforged. In here I have the Reforged bat file and the data and cfg files.
Is that wrong? Because I have tried your fixes and it still says "could not find kingdoms.exe".
Try going to starting up steam then right click medieval 2 total war then click properties, then click set launch options and then type in --features.mod=mods/(Insert mod folder name here) e.g --features.mod=mods/Third_Age_3 or --features.mod=mods/SS6.3

I was so excited for this mod, but everytime i try loading a campaign i get "a fatal graphic error" i tried lowering every setting and resolution i could think of and have tried running it with LAA for RAM isssues. Any ideas on fixing the error?
I am also getting the same thing and have tried lowering the graphics but it does not work

oh and if ure looking for a campaign, i suggest to play divide and conquer, as most of the units in this mod are from there.
I hope that in the future the campaign will be playable!

it was working but all times when i start battle game will edd
ok so when i open the game via steam the third age reforged loading scrn show up for 2 sec and then it desappeares
You sure you installed it the right way? That sounds just like the same problem the people had who said they followed the instruction but didn't...
I accidently extracted it into the third age reforged folder, as far as I can tell nothings effected, but do I have to spend 10 hours reinstalling everything (as for some reason I don't have a back up) or did it have no effect?
The folder should be in the Reforged files if it didn't ask you to overwrite anything. Just remove it from there and install it correctly....
Im having an issue. I have followed all the instructions, but every time I start the game, the third age reforged title shows up, then immediately crashes to desktop. I have gone so far as to uninstall reforged and even third age, and this did not help.
Always make sure your Third Age works fine before installing Reforged. Did your Medieval 2 work correctly before you installed Reforged? Same goes for the expansions. If you had any problems there installing another mod will definitely cause issues aswell. If none of that is the case you either installed it wrong or your computer hates you....
i have the same problem. reinstalled reforged on a copy of third age and the when i open the game it crashes after two seconds
I have the same problem... medieval 2 works and third age works without a problem. Just the Reforged game is crashing. I made the kingdoms.exe.
