BALANCE:
- Added Toxin T-55 as replacement for normal T-55 for Mass Destruction Forces.
- Added SA-6 Gainful as replacement for S-75 for Deathstrike Forces.
- Added Marine as replacement for Ranger for United States Marine Corps.
- ECM Tank and Armata ECM System no longer deflect tank shells.
- Increased maximum rank levels from 5 to 8. Each level gives 1 General Point.
- Advanced battle tanks like Armata or Abrams and some other heavy vehicles leave extended scrap that gives double salvage upgrade to GLA units.
- Partisan Overhaul: Changed damage type for Suicide Drones to be effective only against infantry. Replaced Kill Pilot ability with Disable Vehicle ability. Decreased Rifle’s effectiveness against vehicles and structures.
- Added ability to enter all buildings and transports for Kornet Trooper, Javelin Trooper and Mortar Trooper. They cannot fire from anything of it though.
- Added fireports for BTR-90. That means infantry inside can fire from it. In exchange for that feature, RPG-29, VDV RPG and Igla Troopers cannot fire from any vehicle with fireports anymore. They can still be transported though.
- BRDM-2 Bardak can now collect salvage.
- Armata Afganit ADS deflects tank shells now.
- Added suicide button to Demo Bikes.
- Drastically reduced bunkers build time for MTP-A4.
- Increased speed and maneuverability for MTP-A4.
- Russian Spetsnaz Troopers are attacking infantry automatically when idle.
- Synchronized command sets for all factions. Also changed hotkeys.
- Increased Dragon Tank’s and Viral Tank’s resistance against infantry weapons.

- BMP-3 and ZBD-04 will now use 30mm cannon only against infantry and 100mm against anything else.

- Microwave Tank overhaul: unit doesn’t require anything but upgraded War Factory now. Increased unit’s resistance to infantry missiles, removed passive damage aura. Microwave Tank can now attack infantry with direct beam, though it’s not really strong. Main purpose of the unit: disable structures and clear garrisons. Price reduced from 1000 to 700.
- Removed Flashbang ability to clear garrisons.
- Reduced cost of Flashbang upgrade from 1000 to 800.
- Reduced price of USA Ambulance from 700 to 500.
- Following infantry units are cannot be crushed now: Partisan, Hijacker, Saboteur, VDV Soldiers, Spetsnaz, Kornet Operator, Medic, Elite Hacker, Mortar Trooper, Machinegunner, Flamethrower, SEAL, Pathfinder, Javelin Operator.
- Tank Bunker will now eject the vehicle with 40% HP when destroyed.
- Increased damage for Stinger Site’s AA Gun.
- Replaced Cruise Missile Strike with RPG-27 Attack for Spetsnaz.
- Removed AP bullets firing mode from Spetsnaz.
- Medic can use Revive Special Ability to reanimate fallen soldiers.
- Upgraded Pion Shells now create smoke clouds. Enemy units inside the cloud cannot attack.
- Slightly reduced Armata firing range. Increased reload time and damage for machine gun
- Added capture ability for VDV Machinegunners.
- Improved armor against air units for all anti-air vehicles.
- Increased cost of early scout units for all factions. They require Supply Center to be built

The focus of this release was not only the challenge mode, which was done by our new team member, but also a lot of balances, bug fixes, visual improvements, new voices and improved launcher. So please check the change log to see the changes.

Can you add more screen resolutions to launcher?
May be it is good idea to split GLA into factions according real Mid-East factions? Why "terrorists" have Shacheen? Or why "East state" have bomb trucks?
I dont remember how it was before update, but now Z-10 in guard mode or not is trying to atack even far targets. It becames perfect target for any AD unit.
Maybe at least one unnamed hovercraft for naval? There a lot of fully finished models already with animations.
Mid May the creator of the launcher will be free to make changes. Regarding GLA I understand your point, but it's really huge work to make such thing...

About the choppers, I noticed it as well (for me at least).
And not just the choppers, some units feel like they automatically go into a "Guard-Chase" state (I'm pretty sure you're familiar with that) where even if you don't make them "guard" an area (I have "Double Click Guard" turned OFF), they will still "guard" it then follow their target then pursue other targets as well in their vicinity. I can't specify the units but I greatly notice it on choppers often because sometimes I would use them as an alternative to base defense.
This is something that you can set in option of the game. It doesn't do anything with our changes

I knew there was an update but I didn't expect it to be this awesome :)
But regarding the Challenge mode, is there a way to change Game Speed, Faction Color and Starting Cash?
Because I feel like the bight colors really take away the realism aspect of it. I usually use the "Dark Green" color because it resembles what an actual military will use on the battlefield (I actually miss the Brown and Grey colors as well).
Game Speed also takes away realism because the units move too fast plus it's gonna be difficult to control on Hard Mode.
Starting Cash for me starts at 40,000. Well that just takes away the challenge don't you think ?

Play on Hard difficulty where the starting money are less. Regarding the speed I think is fine I played once and I though is was good.
About colors I don't think is such an issue. You can play with them on skirmish.

It can't be the same for sure. Models, FX and AI are much polished and better here, it's normal to have some lag.
Perhaps we will change the color to Dark Green or maybe even non-playable color like Brown in future. I agree Lime Green is bad.
We can try adding Adjustable Speed feature, like in Contra 009 challenge.
Starting cash depends on the difficulty you pick. If I remember correctly, Easy starts with 40k, Medium starts with 15k and Hard starts with 10k.

Snipers in USA fraction not automatically fire at enemies, not fixed in this new version yet???
They don't fire for very good reason, because they loose their stealth when attacking, so try to use guard mode only when you wish to use them.
i feel like when we try the guard mode, they are more likely at higher risk just because they keep moving when they see the enemy that cause their stealth become useless while at the original version they are more sufficient when they could automatically fire at enemy coming, That's my opinion since snipers in the USA fraction is very important for defense and attack
Snipers aren't even remotely as effective as in ZH in our mod.
They have Stealth active when they move or stand still, but once they fire - they get revealed.
So Pathfinders are more of a scouting unit (they still detect Stealth) than infantry annihilation machine like in ZH. That's why you can get them from Rank 1 btw.

(Readme and WorldBuilder buttons are selectable but not executable)
Thanks for your comment, not-executable buttons means files like readme or worldbuilder is missing. But it is good if it works (launching the game at least) for MAC, because we could not test it properly.

I have a problem with the install.
For precision I use the Origin version with Gen and ZH combined.
I copy/past files to my folder but when I use the launcher, it starts the default choosing window between Gen and ZH.
It works for Contra without problem (I simply created multiple folders of the clean install).
Any idea ?
And I repost a question of a Guest : How can we play in resolution 2560x1440(2k) with launcher?
I can't help you with that, sorry, none of our teammates has Origin so I really have no idea.
About resolution maybe in next version we can have such, so far is not supported.
Be advised our launcher was made really fast and we know is not perfect, but this is what our team member Tool could make in short time, since he is really busy. Our team is very small and he is the only one who understand of programing...

Hi, I'm one of the team members (Challenge Mode editor) and I play the Origin version. For the launcher to work, it has to be installed in the original game's installation folder. You can use your copies of the clean install for other mods, but for ours, with Origin it needs to be in the original install location. The good news is that installing the mod doesn't affect playing vanilla Zero Hour, if you run the game without the launcher the mod doesn't start.
I'm not too used to the Russian faction yet and i've chosen the "Missile Artillery" sub-faction of Russia (since those Topol-Ms are freakin' dreaded for DAMN good reason after all... heh heh heh >:D ) and i'm used to going through on "Hard" difficulty, tried repelling Granger's usual air spam with the basic AA units, but unlike the Avengers which can kill missiles, Russia offers no such thing unfortunately, i'm wondering if any who has more experience knows what I should use to properly repel Grangers usual air spam. I tried using Grumbles since their effectiveness in ROTR was ALWAYS such a damn fine sight to see, but it seems that their MUCH less effective in TEOD it seems, or am I missing something besides the "radar unit" from the Russian CC that apparently allows them to properly fire perhaps? Like I said, not too used to TEOD's Russian faction like I am with ROTR's Russian faction is all, so yeah... ^^;
Hi, I'm the Challenge Mode editor, you can watch a video here: Youtu.be of me beating Granger as Russia. I suggest using a mix of base defenses in the back and cheap AA soldiers in front to give the AI something other than your expensive base defenses to target. Russia also has access to the S300 long range AA system, but the AI might have something waiting to counter that if you use it...
I Beat it very easily by mixing kashtans, Tors and S-300/500, you need radars to help heavy sam firing, without radars they don't fire at all ;)

Hello, i need help regarding the AI. I have read and done what is indicated in the readme document. the AI would end up producing one powerplant and after a few minutes, they sell their structures and the game ends. is this an anti piracy measure or some sort? if no, then may i ask for some assistance?
Looks like you has Scripts folder in your Data.
I have done everything acording to game instructions and error message:Teodd launcher.exe has stopped working i deleted movies folder, i set run as administrator and still dont work what to do?
Nobody said to delete movies folder...
About the launcher I really can't help, T0ol is the creator of it, and he will be able to edit it in 3 weeks.
If you wish to play the mod without launcher make sure the mod is installed in clean ZH folder and just rename the extensions of the files from .teod to .big
And use the ZH exe to start the game, that's it:)
hello again to install this version of the mod you have to remove version 97 to install version 97.5 or is it copy and replace?
because what I did is uninstall version 97, put 97.5 and when I started the game came out in Spanish the language I speak, I see that everything works fine but when I select the Russian generals the photo comes out all purple
I got trouble with Malcolm Granger chalange, game are crashing in 10 minutes after the start playing as russian generals.
Unfortunately the scripts for the missions sometimes have problems, this is a problem with the game and there is very little I can do to fix it or find out why it happens. I recommend saving your game every ~5 minutes, it only crashes sometimes.
I do as you say and successfully pass Granger chalange as russian aerospace general, but then i try it as russian missile general and this trick now dont work.
I noticed that the game crashes then i launching my fighters our then Granger start this 3-4 airraid.
