Doesn't work for me neither. It crashes after the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. logo, the screen goes black, then CTD.

what's with the bling on some of the Pistols? It's absolutely hideous.
Sorry for multipost, i'm late to edit my last one. The CTD issue only happens with the mod patched. An unpatched version of the mod works fine for me.
crashes for me as well on start up "with patch installed". fresh install including the deleting of ALL SHOC files\ reinstall, game patch 1.00005, installed SMM, installed complete 2009 base,(game still works fine) installed patch both with giving patch priority and not (crash on start up) (vista 64 enterprise) help?

Hey I'm new to this mod stuff. I know this is a noob quetion but how do I install this?
never got the "good" ending as promised nor the dialog option to continue game in freeplay ???
just the same old vanilla ending

I´m not new to Stalker; ive played Mod's in the past without problems but now im trying to install the complete mod 2009 + patch and it just aint working.
I follow the exact same install sequence that is recommended but ive bin trying for hours and hours deep into the night and seeing all the other people playing it succesfully makes me feel really bad...
I get the same Xcore.dll errors all the time and it's telling me im missing custom_weapons.ltx and includes like weapons\grenadier.ltx wich dont even seem to exist in the patch and original folder, why are people capable of playing, can anyone give me a good and viable solution to this? cause im quite sure its common, am I missing something here?!
Even when I don't install the 1.32 patch I wont get the special mod menu screen and only a couple of features actually work ( mostly weapon sounds and small texture upgrades ) ( and yes the real fatal errors occur with the patch included )
Im running on W7 64bit ATI HD4770 4gb AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+

i downloaded the smart mod and have installed the base. What i found out if u run it as a administrator it doesnt say anythin about xcore.dll errors(as it did a min before) and it should start the game up. try that. Now installing the patch. the thing is now with base and patch nothing changed. it looks the same. in the menu it doesnt actually say anythin to do with base just says version 1.0005. graphics still the same. what do i do? please help
