Sins of the Fallen R5 for Diplomacy Introduces many new races and features to the Sins of a Solar Empire Universe. See the "read more +" for more information and *important* installation instructions.
Due to the nature of the mod please include the contents of your EnabledMods.txt when reporting issues.
Compatibility:
Diplomacy 1.34
Feature: How To Install Sins of the Fallen R5
Please fully read the feature How To Install Sins of the Fallen R5 before attempting to activate the mod.
This version of the mod has very specific activation rules that if not followed will likely result in unexpected/unsupported behavior or a mini-dump (trust me you need to read the instructions to avoid these issues).

Cosmos Ad Infinitum - Adds framework for new planetary systems based on my Cosmos Ad Infinitum mod.
Fictional Rigel
Fictional Tenorias (Planned)
Optional Addons: Optional addons enhance the Sins of the Fallen universe by adding additional content or effects to the base mod. Any, all or none of the addons may be activated at a time.
Flagships - Starts each race with a random flagship from the core fleet of five capital ships. Flagships increase by double the stats per level and have 4 targets per bank. Warning: Lost flagships cannot be replaced.
Alien Artifacts - Adds framework for capturable alien artifacts. Will start with various capturable alien ships but will expand as more artifacts are added.
Moons - Adds prototype moons and moon base upgrades. The current iteration is mainly a proof of concept. New moon base upgrades and abilities will be added.
Bailnight's Graphic Mod - Adds BailKnight's Graphic effects and Gurkoz sounds. Activate this addon if you like dramatic effects and explosions and have the specs to handle it all.
Holy crap... That has to be the fastest download authorization I've ever had :P
Looking forward to this, cant believe it was posted as i logged on xD
Ty for the detailed explanation, makes it much easier for me lol
Your welcome. I've been testing this setup now since early September (hard to believe). Everything seems to be going fairly well with quite a few play testing the R5 mod without many issues.
I also have a side project going on in the sins forum you might want to check out. Just look under the modding sub-forum and you'll spot it fairly easily.
I forgot to mention I have both the French and German translations for the mod included (French.str, German.str).
These files are built from the latest Diplomacy 1.34 French.str and German.str with msn translation for any SotF specific strings. I apologize if any of the translations are a bit wonky but it's the best I could do with nearly 4,000 strings to translate.
just curious, but why does your mod need the special instructions to work and the other excellent 10 mods for sins diplomacy do not?
like i said, i'm just curious as to the why we need special install instructions.
I'm doing something different from the other mods by having a plug-n-play system allowing for different setups based on how I want to play the game with the planets, addons, and races allowed. I won't be the last mod to follow this approach as I know of two others that plan to do similar.
Additionally I have 13 races in my personal version of the mod which it's impossible to activate them all at once due to memory and hard code limitations.
I have two Battlestar Galactica races (Colonial, and Cylons) that work with Sins of the Fallen R5 on the sins forum. I can't release them on moddb though due to their current restrictions.
Does this work with Diplomacy 1.32 ?
It can work with Diplomacy 1.32 but you would have to make a small change first or you'll have no buttons on the main menu.
delete MainMenuScreen.window file in SotF Core R5\Window (SteamMainMenuScreen.window if using Steam).
I can't seem to finish the download, it always disconnects. Whats wrong here?
