The final full version (v4.5) of the Rise of Three Kingdoms mod for Medieval II Total War.
If you have a previous version of Rise of Three Kingdoms installed, you will need to delete both the rotk folder (found at ...\Medieval II Total War\mods\rotk) and the desktop shortcut
Installation Procedure
- 1. After the download has completed, extract all contents (2 files total) from zip file into the same directory - compare with 'Download Content' picture below
- 2. Run\double-click the Rise of three Kingdoms 4.5 part1.exe (Application) file. Destination will be your main Medieval II Total War folder (for Steam this is ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War)
- 3. Once part 1 has installed, a verification process will take place - compare with 'Verification' picture below. Once the verification has finished, check if all files have verified OK (1) and then close the window (2) to proceed with the finishing of the installation.
- 4. After the verification of part 1 has finished, then run/double-click the Rise of three Kingdoms 4.0 part2.exe (Application) file and allow to install.
- 5. Again, after part 2 has been installed, a verification process will take place. Wait for it to complete as you did with part 1. Once verified, close as you did with part 1.
- 6. After installation of the mod has completed, it is highly recommended to use the 4GB Patch with this mod, as it allows Medieval II to use greater system resources, allowing greater stability and performance for modifications. The easiest way is to Google "4gb patch" and the first result should be from NTCore. When you run the 4gb_patch.exe, apply it to medieval2.exe.

The greatest Medieval 2 mod that just keeps on giving.
I appreciate your kind words! :)
It says that the game(part 2) cannot be installed since hebei_juyi_info.tga contains invalid data, should I just download once again and start all over? Or are there ways to fix it. BTW, looking forward to playing this mod
I would just try to re-download again and see if that clears up the issue.
I am downloading it now, but I do not know which patch to download. There are many corrections after this version. Should I download them all?
Don't download the ones that say [OBSOLETE] as they are obsolete. Just download and install this (version 4.5), and then download and install the latest patch (version 5.4)
