Description

This is mod thas adds Black Sun and The Hutt Cartel as playable factions without replacing exiting ones, I put a lot of work into making this mod, and it is my first big mod so I hope you will understand if it's not perfect. Hope you love it. I put my vison of the Star Wars galaxy of that era and I hope you like my attention to detail.

There will be no more playable factions because I've struggled enough with the AI for these two

There will be more minor factions.

How much longer would you say until 3.o is released out of simple curiosity? Also I would say the playable factions you have are definitely enough and well done. you should post some teaser photos on the progress of 3.0 :D. Keep up the good work.

Oh hey. Well I'm currently on hold with this project. I'm an engineering student so college takes a lot of my time. I will probably finish 3.0 version during the next winter or summer holidays. I have already fixed a lot of bugs...I think there's a changelog posted on this page. If I get some time I might upload a gameplay video, there have been a lot of exciting changes like the addition of the Ohnaka gang or better Mandalorian faction.

Does any body know how to make a mod or have a link to any modding tutorials.

There are modding tutorial but as far as I can tell don't cover everything and at some points seem somewhat confusing. If you wish to know how to mod I would recommend asking a developer and reviewing xml files (where most of the important pieces of mod functionality are).

Hi all,
I'm running the game through steam and struggling to get the mod installed/working. could anyone give some advice? The readme doesn't cover how to install it on steam and I am an absolute amateur for modding

Cheers
Dave

Go to your Steam folder in program filesx86(if not there than regular program files), then go into steamapps, common, then you should see the empire at war folder then go inside that and make sure you are inside the forces of corruption folder. Lastly inside the forces of corruption folder make a mods folder and place the mod inside of that (any questions or confusing let me know).

He can't. Windows 8 is a terrible OS for gaming. If you wish to play the mod then get Windows 7 again for it is much better for both gaming and modding. Also I should explain why he can't.

1.Mods are game based and in some cases are bit dependent(64 or 32).

2. I assume it is because you cannot get the game files into the folder (since you did not clarify) and he can not help you with that dilemma.

3. The standard mod is not even done yet so in order for him "to make the mod for windows 8" would require him to finish this one and he dictates its completion so that could be whenever.

Also before concluding When asking a developer a question best to make a profile before doing so for they are more likely to respond.Plus I ask you kindly to do research on how modding works before a request like this is made again otherwise it will make you look foolish to others and make them less likely to help. I understand you are new but somebody should address these things to you early (which I have done) and this is not intended to be aggressive I just wished for you to be aware. I hope you enjoy the mod and get windows 7 back. Have a nice day good sir (also private message me if you have questions and I can answer or refer you to someone who can answer a question more effectively than I).

so how do you install it onto steam? i got it into my mods folder but i was wondering if i needed to install anything and also the "set launch options" path for the mod. i am new to modding and the other mods just had me copy and paste so i am not sure how to do it.
