A single weapon texture mod that works with many of the weapons across the three original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
This mod gives players the opportunity to apply golden textures to their weapons. Only compatible with the default weapons across all three original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. Self-insertion of these textures into these three games and a variety of the many different S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods out there is also possible. Does not affect bolts, binoculars, artifact detectors and certain weapon attachments (also doesn't affect grenades).
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
- Please make a backup copy of your gamedata folder before you use this mod. A new save game is recommended when using this mod.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- Allows you to play the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games with golden weapons.
- Designed to work with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (1.0005-1.0006), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (1.5.10), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat (1.6.02) and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl (1.4.22). May work with other patches of these games, though this is done at the user's risk.
- Can also work with other mods that use vanilla (default) weapons, though any textures in this mod can be placed in other mods to your own liking. This also allows you to make specific weapons of your choice have golden textures on them.
- Players can toggle between having vanilla weapons show up with golden textures either in first-person only or from both first-person and third-person perspectives. Different patches for these have been included in the attached gamedata folder.
- This mod does not affect bolts, binoculars, artifact detectors and certain weapon attachments.
- Works with existing saved games. For mods that edit weapon models and animations, copying the textures from this mod (rather than the included vanilla models) into your existing gamedata folder is recommended to reduce the chances of crashing your game.
NOTABLE ISSUES:
- Some spawning issues with scripted NPC encounters may occur (observed in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky) when not using the compatibility patch. If you wish to avoid any bugs with such scripts, please use ONLY the compatibility patch for your desired game (all folders have been named accordingly). Doing this will make all in-game weapons appear with a golden texture, regardless of them being viewed in first-person or third-person. All three of the original games (SoC, CS and CoP) have been tested and completed without the compatibility patch installed.
INSTALLATION:
1. Extract the .zip or .rar file for this mod. After that, copy the gamedata folder and use it to overwrite your current gamedata folder, or paste it in your game's directory where your gamedata folder should be. Make sure to back your files up!

Just a quick update; I've updated the folder structure of this mod and the separate golden binoculars patch to make it more presentable.
The main folder of each posted mod will immediately show whether or not it's a full release or a patch (see the name of the downloaded folder or the file name above), which is helpful if you have loads of mods in a single folder.
