No, not unless you know how to properly merge shared files. This patch is to fix bugs/crashes. I'll make an optional installation of RCOM with Atmosfear 2 merged in for the final RCOM release.

Before patching, I had crashed whenever I tried to finish the magpie quest by talking to Loki (the Freedom Man. His Name was Loki, right?).

Now, patched and all, happy about the Grouse quest and other failures like the abovementioned being fixed, I set out and...the game crashed with some xrengine.exe error message about every ten minutes. Not very fun to play after all.

Shame really, I'd have liked to play RCOM. Any ideas on how to remedy the unfortunate situation, or am I just about ******?

Reporting crashes helps a ton, but I need a little more information first:

- I need to know if you started a new game?

- I need a crash report, or else I can't really know what caused it and fix it. After the game crashes, a short crash report will be copied to your clipboard. Immediately after a crash, paste (Ctrl-v) into any interface that takes txt (strait to a moddb comment works) and then post that comment here.

Giving me this crash report will be very helpful for both you and I. Thanks in advance. :)

Im still unable to talk to the guide making impossible to go on with the game. Ah, for some reason after the patch is always night.

Which guide, and at what location?

Also, patch shouldn't have anything to do with it always being night. That's strange. The night cycles aren't change in RCOM; are you using other mods with it?

The two absolute texture pack, before the patch i have no problems with the day/night cicle :S

Anyway im in prypiat, after the firt mission (recover the sperimental weapon from a monolith chief) i go talk with the army boss, then there is a broken cutscene, then i should talk with the guide but he is like blocked and i cant talk with him.

Thanks for detailing the problems.

Day/Night cycle is strange, and shouldn't be something from RCOM specifically.

I'll search for the broken private cut scene and guide. I think I have an idea what might have caused that.

678 by the time I checked, phew! There seems to be a big spike in downloads since last Marsh update. I hope the update didn't give the impression that v.1.0.6 contains the new maps...

So, I tested it. Wonderful! New anims, realistic scopes... I have some questions:
1) Yeah, shotguns now have realistic spread. But only when using iron sight. Hip fire is three times more inaccurate than in original!
2) How about such mod but with original hud and some other original features?
3) My LR-300 don't have its 900 rpm. It fires much slower. AKS74 has bigger rate of fire than its real counterpart, imo.

1) Yes, the shotguns are pretty bad without sights. In fact, all the guns are. I'll test them out and see if they seem too loose without using the sights, like you said.

2) RCOM Final will have HUD options that are selectable with an installer. What other original features were you referring too?

3) The lr300 should fire at about 900 rpm. All rpm values are set according to their real life counterparts, via the internet. AK74 should be right as well, maybe you're thinking of the AK47 that has a slower rpm? Regardless, I'll look through the files and make sure I didn't make any errors when writing the rpm values.

3) No, AK and AK74 have almost the same rates of fire. Maybe I was wrong about fire rates in RCOM.

I'm attempting to finish original CoP at the moment, and I want to replay it with RCOM.

The next RCOM is going to be an internal BETA, which could be anywhere between a couple weeks to a couple months. After that, I expect RCOM Final to be out shortly after the internal BETA. Its highly unlikely RCOM Final isn't out sometime this Spring.

BTW, the best place for general RCOM questions is the main comments page, because sometimes I don't notice the download comments except recently after adding them. Forums are good as well. :)

For the next version, there won't be much of a point to merge with complete. Most of the mods merged into Complete are also being merged into RCOM, or are features that are completely redone; one or the other kind of stuff.

Salut !
I think there is a mistake with Desert Eagle and this patch don't fix it.
At the game's begin the ammo in inventory are 12.7x33 (with or without patch) but the pistol has .45 in it (11.43x23).
And the upgrade of this pistol is impossible without the calibre 12.7x33, how to change the pistol to this calibre ?
Change w_desert_eagle.ltx PLZ
I do it with an upgrade scheme of another mod.
