The skirmish release. This is the June 2013 release.
This is the previously deleted June 2013 version.
From the read-me:
"This is a read-me. If you have not read the read-me and decide to post questions answered in the read-me on the mod page I reserve my right to delete your comment."
So if you decide to ask how to install the mod I'll most likely ignore you.
I'd like to remind people that this mod is not Galactic Conquest compatible (yet). Try it with glaring imbalance/weird stuff at your own risk.
Credits, install instructions all in the read me.
Enjoy.
hope it stays alive no matter how long it takes
I put the latest released version back up after there was an outcry when I deleted it, so complaining that this is the "old" version wong get you anywhere and I'll just delete the comments.
Also one of the dumber folk asked why there were regular heroes in GC. Final time I'll say this, read the description. Those comments will be deleted too.
I'm glad you decided to upload it. I love your mod and your OST choices :)
Hah, that's nice to hear. I actually caught quite some flak from people who really didn't like the music that much.
Well, it is a Star Wars mod for a Star Wars game. Having Star Wars music, especially that of the Old Republic era of which this mod is based upon, just keeps it consistent.
...Not that your choices in music are bad, but they simply don't *feeeeel* right. Its like watching The Matrix with music from Halo or Mass Effect: not completely terrible, but still off-putting.
Completely understandable. I added the music in the game that I like to listen to in it, I might change it out for a future release.
please don't chnage it. The music is allmost perfect for the game! I love it atleast. ;)
If you ever need help maybe put this on Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion you should message, Gul Dukat he and his crew have so awsome mods go look at his work hes is the mighty Gul-Dukat the one and only leader of the Cardassian Union. really good work should talk to him if you ever do Sin or just need help with you ships.
Doesn't look that impressive. Way better texture artists out there like Enpremi.
look at maxleof's work and see if your opinion changes.

While this mod like any mod has it's flaws, it's still my favorite FoC mod, can't wait for the new version, keep up the good work Geroenimo!
This Mod is awesome and sorry for the other users bashing you man
Thank you. I don't really mind anyone "bashing" me. I welcome it even. Internet drama is always fun to watch, just get yourself some popcorn, grab a seat and rather round to watch the spectacle as I always say ;)
thanks Geroenimo this is a great mod, thanks for all your time and dedication
Thank you very much!
I have read the read me but i cant find the solution to my problem. i have sweaw through steam and it wont launch because the filepath is set up for other installation. How do i fix?
Moddify the target path of the shortcut. If you don't know how, google it.
hey im new to moding and one how do i install this mod if anyone can help me with this mod that will be much appreciated :)
Read the read-me that's in the archive
This is quite an epic mod. Hope to see progress from you soon :)
Hey Geroenimo I have the steam version and can't get it to work I tried modifing the shortcuts path but that didn't work ether is there anything else that I have to do for the steam version.
Note: When I open the shortcut it starts the vanilla Eaw
That means you did something wrong moddifying the modpath of the shortcut, be sure the -modpath is set correct in the shortcut.
I tried redoing it and no luck I dont think its wrong but am not really a expert at this. This is what I put in the target line "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Star Wars Empire at War\corruption\swfoc.exe" MODPATH=Mods/ORAW
I did notice though that when I clicked on the foc shortcut in the files it opened eaw not foc idk if that affects it at all though. and thanks for taking the time to help me Geroenimo.
You need to have the folder where the swfoc.exe is located, which in most cases is "C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\swfoc.exe" and then place MODPATH=Mods/ORAW after it. This'll make the shortcut look for a folder named ORAW, in another folder called Mods which is located in the same folder as where the .exe is located. I don't know what the steam directory is exactly as I don't have the game on steam. If the shortcut opens vanilla EAW I have litterally no idea what could possibly be the issue as that shouldn't ever happen, as you directed it to the forces of corruption folder.
Im having the same problem, it keeps launching the original eaw
I would *Love* to try your mod, since KoTOR is easily my favorite Era. Problem is that your mod isn't compatible with the Steam version of the game. At least not as far as I can tell, your built in shortcut is not usable with the steam version, and mod pathing only launches the vanilla game. I honestly don't know why this one will not work with my steam version of FoC, since every other one I've tried has, but the problem persist. Unless it gets resolved, I for one will be unable to enjoy this particular mod.
To all of those who are having issues launching the mod (SW:ORAW) on Steam, here's how you get it to work.
1. Go to the mods shortcut, right click on it and open properties. Then paste this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Star Wars Empire at War\corruption\swfoc.exe" sweaw MODPATH=Mods\ORAW
to the "target" section and this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Empire at War\corruption\"
into the "Start in" section and then press "OK".
2. Go to Steam > Library and find your SW:EAW and right click on it. Select "properties" and after that select "Set launch options...". Paste this:
sweaw MODPATH=Mods\ORAW
into the gap and press "OK".
3. Now click play and select "Forces of Corruption" and you're good to go.
PS: If I didn't wrote understandably then PM me or reply.

This issue may have already been addressed but i'm really stumped here. Where exactly am i supposed to make a "mod" folder? I got the mod working to an extent but only by copying it and pasting it into the game directory which merged the respected folders and replaced the original files with those of the mod. I started playing it and the original units didn't have name or icons or anything such as that. Some of the mod vehicles also had "missing" names. I don't have the steam version of the game i have the gold pack from thepiratebay.se. Please help if you can!!!!!!!! Much appreciated!!!!!!!
I got the mod working from a "Mods" folder created in the game directory finally. It's still doing the things i had mentioned before. Is this supposed to happen? I love the "new" ships and everything that you've done with this mod but i simply can't play the game while it's like this. I can't even create ground units as the Mandolorians aside from the defiler spy type unit.
I'm the "Guest" as well. Just BTW.
this mod got me in the mood to play KOTOR again. Time to kill! >:D Epic mod!!!
can you make a version that is .zip for the people without winwar
just download winrar, it's free you know.
My way of adding mods that don't work the easy way for me is by messing up with the main data bases.
What I mean is transfering everything in the mod to your star wars forces of corruption data folder which should be located in local disk (C:)[for me]/program files/LucasArts/Star Wars Empire at War Forces of corruption/Data
I'm not sure if it's the same for steam version. I brought the Gold expansion pack which comes with the first game of empire at war
Anyways great mod, I love how you change the game of FOC to ORAW (Old Republic at War) just like RaW but both and especially this are the best mods I've played!
Wait just one minute! The music it is not from the Star Wars?
how do i install it on steam, it doesn't run the mod
im new at all this so im not really sure whats it means by windows cant open the files can I get some help please
Not actually sure how you managed to get that message in the first place, just place the folder from the archive into the mods folder, then use the shortcut included to start the game.

Is the author still alive and/ or still working on this mod?
Definitly, check my profile, I'm working on my other empire at war mod mostly.

does this mod have any viruses?
Definitly, it'll completely and utterly obliterate your pc with it's rediculously over-the-top-graphic viruses. That really made me laugh, thanks annon :D
Many thanks to you and everyone else working on this mod. However, I've encountered a bit of a problem post-extraction/installation.
Upon launching the game, the Malak loadscreen appears, then vanishes to reveal the following box:
<title>
"Expect Strange Bugs..."
<description>
"xml parse error - File.\Data\XML\GUIDialogs.xml: file has syntax errors,
see log file"
After clicking "OK", the game closes. Is this something on my end or part of the data I downloaded? In either case I don't recall altering files save for the shortcut's target and start-in. After trying to look it up in the XML folder, the GUIDialogs.xml file doesn't seem to be there.
Any and all help is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Guest
Funfact: That file isn't in my mod, meaning you've got another mod ******* up your game.

Just played a few skirmish games and I have to say this is one helluva mod keep up this fantastic work
Thank you! Always nice to see comments which aren't related to installation issues :D
Honestly If you sit down and mess with it for awhile or go look for how to's then your fine... I dont really see the point in pestering the modders if its something you can do by just looking around. the resources are out there just look.
Thank you sir, for keeping me sane by letting me know there's still people with common sense out there
