This file contains 6 WMV videos which cover the entire process involved in modeling a 3D weapon (in this example a glock) using 3DSMax.The related tutorial "Creating a weapon for source" can be found here. Part two of this tutorial which covers the skinning / texturing aspect can be found here. The principles applied here are valid for any game, not just HL2.

how do you extract it from the winRAR if you dont have a license for it??
You can get 7zip for free, or download winrar and buy it (or continue to use the free trial since when it expires it just has an annoying popup)

Is there supposed to be sound? I'm using VLC, and I don't hear anything. These would be a lot more useful with sound.
