In summer of 2010, I played the demo for Mass Effect 2 after seeing it on Steam - I immediately then ran out and obtained a copy of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 for the PC (because console shooters are dumb). After completing the first game, I thought to myself, "Huh, there must be a Mass Effect mod for Star Wars Battlefront II! :O" After failing to find such a mod, I completed my first map that I had been working on since February of that same year, started working on the Sol Map Pack, released the pilot map, and in around July of 2011, started working on Mass Effect: Unification. Also Electronic Arts sucks. :P

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:1a. Double-click MassEffectUnificationSetup_r1.exe and click extract.1b. READ THE README IN THE EXTRACTED FOLDER. THIS IS CRUCIAL.2. Run MassEffectUnificationSetup_v1.0.exe in the extracted folder and follow the on-screen instructions to install.3a. After installing, go to the folder where you have the game installed.3b. Go to GameData\addon\ME5\data\_LVL_PC\.3c. Depending on the aspect of your monitor (basically whether it's standard format or widescreen), you will need to run one of the three batch files whose name starts with forAspectRatioMonitors. If your monitor's aspect ratio is 4:3, run the batch file that ends with 4-3.bat; if the aspect ratio of your monitor is 16:9, run the file ending with 16-9.bat; or if your monitor is 16:10, run the file that ends with 16-10.bat. If you do not know your monitor's aspect ratio, go to the Desktop, right-click anywhere, and click Properties for XP users, Personalize and then Display Settings for Vista users, or Screen Resolution for 7 users, and consult the following: - Monitors with a resolution of 640x480, 800x600, 1280x1024, or 1600x1200 are 4:3. - Monitors with a resolution of 1280x720 (720p), 1366x768 (most laptops), or 1920x1080 (1080p; most televisions) are 16:9. - Monitors with a resolution of 1440x900 or 1680x1050 are 16:10.3d. By default, the 4:3 file is installed, so if you play and the sniper rifle scope looks stretched or not like a perfect circle, you've probably installed the wrong file.4. Launch Star Wars Battlefront II and enjoy playing the first release of Mass Effect: Unification!

THIS MOD CURRENTLY FEATURES:- a massive amount of specially hand-crafted assets specifically tailored for this mod. This would not have been possible without the help of The Nasal Abyss, Scott Pilgrim (agentsmith38), THEWULFMAN, AQT, Gametoast, and Frayed Wires Studios.- support for all stock land maps minus Dagobah and Endor. - three custom Mass Effect maps: Eden Prime, the Prothean Skyway, and Virmire.- WAY too much content to list here.
WHAT MORE TO EXPECT:- Various patches and hotfixes that correct bugs and add small features. - DLC expansion packs that will include new maps, modes, campaigns, sides, and more.- A dedicated server. More info on that later.
MOD NOTES:- Singleplayer matches on most maps have random side variations and a random Shepard hero class whereas multiplayer matches have a preset variation and Shepard class per map.- All maps minus the Prothean Skyway - which has Team Deathmatch and 2-flag CTF - support the Conquest mode and most maps support either 1-flag or 2-flag CTF, which, by the way, is INCREDIBLY fun and difficult (especially Hoth).- This mod adds 31 missions to the game's runtime heap.[ADD MOAR STUFF TO THIS SECTION, YO][GIVE ASH SWIMWEAR TO WEAR INTO BATTLE][WATCH ALL OF THE MASS EFFECT 3 GAMER POOPS IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY; THEY'RE ON YOUTUBE]
