Expansion Series
The Expansion Mod includes new Capitalship known as a Dreadnought. A Dreadnought is a very large and powerful Capitalship that once at level six or beyond can be upgraded into a Super-Dreadnought. All six races have Dreadnought Capitalships. Dreadnought's are automatically and repeatedly built by a special Dreadnought factory ... only one unique factory is made available for each player at the start of the game.
Also included are more aggressive Pirates with Capital ships, capable of colonizing, and a pirate carrier cruiser. Finally beware of dangerous asteroids which fill the gravity well of various planets, they can severely damage fleets through collisions.

So, for this do I also install the other file you uploaded here (non-expansion one)?
Truly what's the deference between the two? It's hard to figure out.
Thanks!
The Expansion Mod and only the Expansion Mod includes
1. Dreadnoughts.
2. More aggressive Pirates with Capitalships, capable of colonizing, and a pirate carrier cruiser.
3. Dangerous asteroids which fill the gravity well of various planets, they can severely damage fleets through collisions.
So I download both to get everything? Sounds like a plan, thanks.
Hm I wanted to play this with a friend but our mod checksum's are apparently different and it won't work. Could it be because I am using the 64-bit patch and he isn't? (He doesn't have a 64-bit computer).
Good thinking but I can't be sure its the 64-bit patch. Also ...
1. Make sure you have the latest patch for Entrenchment (v1.191)
2. Both have Maelstrom Entrenchment Expansion R3
Wait this is for Entrenchment? We did managed to get the non-expansion working...so we are both going to try re-downloading this one.
Spots between my ears ... your right this is the original section!
"We did managed to get the non-expansion working" ... good news.
Expansion should work with the same 'fix' you found for the non-expansion.
Ah okay! We got both versions to work. One of must just have downloaded the wrong file, so now it seems to work! This is a great mod, I love it!
Thanks and enjoy.
