Downloaded the mod and placed in folder started FoC and I get the infamous exception error. It has been a while since I've seen this and wonder if anyone has found a way around this. Also I play this game through Steam if that helps. When fixed I will report any bugs in this mod.
You'll need to edit the shortcut path I believe
Already did that too all of my other mods work just fine so I don't know what else it could be

okay, i just downloaded and re-installed the mod onto my computer, and its running fine. Could you both send me a pm detailing exactly what the exception error says. Also the steps you took in downloading and installing would be greatly appreciated.

The mod isn't starting up, its placed in my Mods folder in FOC (this is steam btw)and i copy and pasted the shortcut into the launch options. What do I need to fix?
The Mod works wall for me, but the Mod is...GREAT"but of course it is a beta version so it is not perfect yet" I love it cant wait for the full release!

To all steam users, im truly sorry but I don't use steam, and i have no idea on how to get a mod to work with steam. However, this gentleman appears to know.

I can't get the mod to work for steam and I do all of that. I've done this before with other mods and it's work. It just starts up the normal game for GGW though. How do I fix this?
Start a new GC as either the sith or the republic
No I mean the game just is normal when I launch the modpath correctly even. I know I'm doing it correctly because switching to another mod works. I just can't get this one to when I set the path.
Are the particles different in the main screen, with the battle and stuff?
No its the same as in the normal game. Star Destoryers and Mon Cals and Zon Consortium ships. And the GC only shows those 3 factions. I followed the instructions for the modpath again in the link you showed, but I still just wind up in the normal game even though it again works for mods like Republic at War or Covenant at War. I saw there was a shortcut in the files, was it necessary to activate? Because its set only to the disc function and that could be my problem as a steam user. Although idk if the shortcut matters when activating the modpath when it works for Republic at War who also has a shortcut in the files, its more of an optional opening sequence right?
I'm not sure if you'll ever see it, but to get it to run on steam.
Go to your steam directory.
Will look something like this C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common go to your install folder in that directory, and install the mod there, if you're having further issues, its not recommended but make a backup of your data folder and install it directly into the game, and launch as normal, it should load all the mod files from the data directory, instead of trying to hassle with all the mod installations, easy and simple uninstall delete data folder, replace with backup one.
Has anyone else with steam had a similar problem? I can't get mine to work either like the above but I tried the mod launcher in the separate link and windows kept encountering errors whenever my cursor passed over the start button.
Guys im really sorry this is happening. But I'm not really sure what to do when it comes to steam versions of the game, as I don't own the steam version. I'll do some digging on the steam forums and see what I can find

So just a quick problem I'm having. I run the game with the mod and it works fine up till it gets to the menu. It has the GGW ships in place of the normal ones, but then it ends. Playing skirmish or GC says Consortium, Rebellion, or Empire. However in game for GC it allows me to build the ships from GGW but without their text files explaining anything. Also there are units of the vanilla game mixing in. Is there anyway to solve this problem?
never had anything like this happen before. Hopefully ill be able to tinker and figure it out when i get my computer back. Try re-installing it

I don't get an exception. I also have windows 7 64-bit non-steam game. I just get the vanilla game.
Ah sorry to be a bother, I got frustrated trying to get it to work and left it. I redownloaded the mod to my mod folder but it doesn't start the mod properly it just goes to the vanilla game (I am using steam btw). And when I merge the data over a copy the game's (I keep the original in a folder with other copies of it, this solves most of my mod problems that don't launch for steam) I get the vanliia game at first apparently but once I go to GC I get the right space units. However all the text is missing and the ground units are still the regular Empire at War variety. Not asking you to solve this, but if you have an idea of where I am going wrong I'd appreciate it.
The text issue may be that you are using a game with a different language? i have no idea why that is happening, its working fine for me. The steam issues i can't help you with, as i dont have a steam copy of the game, but ill deff look into the text issues, as i think its a common problem
