The V1.0 release of Escape: Paradise. This has been tested pretty extensively, however, a few bugs may have slipped by. If so, I'll squash them in later patches. BEFORE PLAYING OR INSTALLING, READ BOTH THE README AND SURVIVAL GUIDE INCLUDED IN THE DOWNLOAD. IF YOU DO NOT, BUT POST QUESTIONS ASKING FOR HELP, YOU WILL BE IGNORED.
Can't wait to try it. Looks very good, I'm downloading now.
Aware! if you're searching for an bottle with something like yellow in it, then it's not urine! it's Fuel oil :O
Not actually fuel, it's just engine oil for lubrication ;)
I've played a few hours of it and so far I've found it quite fun. I decided to head North and discovered a safehouse down one of the roads pretty quickly. Exploring has been fun, though lethal at times (mines -_-).
Running around blindly can be risky, because if you don't find any food, you die. I think a simple inventory / backpack would be a good addition. Maybe let it carry one item of food (the equivalent of a health pack) instead of having to run around the island holding a watermelon.
I think it'd be great if you could catch and cook some of the island's fauna. I found a few chickens outside of a shack that had a hotplate in it. It seemed like a waste. Maybe even let the player make their own fire, as you can pick up small branches in Crysis 1. You have to collect gasoline for the vehicles in this mod, so maybe you could use some of that, or just find a lighter or matches. I think it'd fit nicely with the survive and escape theme.
I'm glad that the NK's die in one to two shots, as you are pretty low on ammo at the start of the game.
I haven't managed to escape yet, but I've only trekked around one side of the island. I've missed the natural look of Crysis 1. Everything looks amazing at dusk.
Overall, I'm having a good time. Even without the above features I mentioned, this is still very fun. I would like to see this turn into a full game.
Great job!
not good.is very simple
Simple? Are you serious? This is one of the hardest games I've played since Gothic.
Can't get this mod to load right, it's installed fine and shows up. But every time I click load mod the game says it needs a restart.
That´s normal.I think you just forgot to press "New Game".
Best you find the files called "start EP-32" and"start EP-64" in this folder ...\Crysis\Mods\EscapeParadise.
Thanks for the tip. If anyone else has an issue, just load it from the .bat files in the Mods folder.
Yeah, you must use the batch files to start it, go figure...
I have multiple other mods that can just be loaded from the Mod Sub-menu.
Maybe I can offset your snark with a compliment on how good I think the mod is? Great concept and I've enjoyed only dying so far, looking forward to any updates.
I know, and yet I don't know why it doesn't work. Like I said, go figure, hell if know.
I'm not being snarky, I don't know where you go that idea from. I was just confirming what you said.
Great idea, very challenging. I second the idea of a backpack.
More frequent save points would be good too.
I'm getting some glitch when I face the direction of the sun, everything burns out. If I look at the sun directly I get the pretty coma through the foliage, but just off-axis everything is white.
Alright, I'll look into the backpack for sure. For saving, you need to find one of the seven safehouses and use the bed.
Try typing this into the console (minus the quotes): "e_view_dist_ratio_vegetation=35"
Download isnt on moddatabase it says?
I love u for this Slayer...Allways wanted a survival experience that run deeper than Crytek made it from start. Tried Far cry 3 some days ago and got so fxxking irritated at this bad arcade " I´m a complete idiot" game...So thats why I ended up here ...and god praise! that this mod exists :D
Completely agree on the thing with backpack...sounds reasonable.
IT's not avaiable via any mirrors :(
What country are you in?

You'll need more that 6L of gas to go anywhere, it's not a hybrid boat ;)
