Contains DOOM 64 CE with PBR materials, new sounds and more. Requires a patched DOOM64.IWAD (see prerequisites instructions below). Comes bundled with GZDoom 4.11.3 for convenience, but you can use an existing installation of it. Read the readme for more details.
NOTE IF UPGRADING FROM <=3.8: Saved games from previous versions won't work! This version has breaking changes, so any map packs from ModDB's addons tab need to be downloaded again. The 3PointFilter and AspectRatio addons are not needed anymore and should be deleted.
Version 3.9.0 (Full)
- Replaced Retribution's MAP01-MAP32 with new map conversions that are more accurate to the originals.
- Fixed the Unmaker not firing automatically after repeatedly holding the fire button too fast.
- Moved the Forbidden Deeper level slot after Darkened.
- Added an option to toggle the Nintendo 64's three point filter.
- Removed the AspectRatio and 3PointFilter addons since their functionality is now included in the main mod.
- Fixed a crash that could happen after friendly monsters kill another monster.
- Freelook is now disabled when the Faithful preset is selected.
Prerequisites
Starting from version 2.0.4, DOOM 64 CE does not run standalone and requires a copy of DOOM 64 for Steam , GOG or Epic Games to work. The original DOOM 64 IWAD (DOOM64.WAD) can't be used as is and requires patching to make it discoverable by gzdoom. An automatic patcher is included in this package to make this process easier:
Run doom64-install.bat. It will try to find your installation of DOOM 64 and automatically patch and create all necessary files to play. If for any reason the Steam installation is not found, you can copy DOOM64.WAD to the same folder as the .bat file and it will use that instead (special thanks to phredreeke for the idea and initial implementation).
Once it finishes, open gzdoom.exe and you will be able to select DOOM 64 CE from the list. If you do not wish to use the bundled gzdoom and have it installed elsewhere, copy the IWAD and PK3s to its location or the paths configured in its [IWADSearch.Directories] and [FileSearch.Directories].

This version replaces the Doom 64 main campaign maps with newly made conversions instead of the maps from Retribution. They lack many of Retribution's quality of life changes, so if you consider this a downgrade, you can load this addon to restore them: Moddb.com
Is a future update going to incorporate the Retribution QOL changes to these new conversions?
I've reuploaded this file fixing an error where some lines could not get executed (P_StartScript: Unknown script), softlocking some levels. If you downloaded this before Feb 5th 3:30 UTC, please download it again.
NOTE: There is a known issue the PBR addon (DOOM64.CE.Addon.GFX.PBR). If active, it won't work and the game won't look as intended (wrong colors, etc). This will be fixed in a 3.9.1 release. Until then, please delete that addon.
The blue key switch's texture in Lost Levels map 2 is broken:

Great job with this update, I am very happy you are continuing to support Doom CE :)
I don't understand; why make the Retribution maps a separate file if they are an improvement over the vanilla maps, shouldn't it be the other way around?
Because its like conversion or actually an enhancement of the VANILLA game.
