Divide and Conquer Version 5- A Kingdom Reunited. Please read the installation instructions below. Previous versions of Divide and Conquer should be removed or renamed.
Divide and Conquer V5 only requires Medieval II Total War: Kingdoms Expansion or the Steam Definitive Edition to play.
1) If you have a previous version of Divide and Conquer installed, remove or rename the "Divide_and_Conquer" folder from this location: [your path]\Medieval II Total War\mods
2) Download the file
3) Unzip the file to any location and keep the 6 files inside together (5 .bin files and 1 .exe)
4) Run the executable (DaC v5.exe).
5) The installer should automatically detect your Medieval II Total War folder- if not, you'll need to manually locate your your path. For Steam installations, refer to the below path, and click on the 'Medieval II Total War' folder:
[DRIVE]/steam/steamapps/common
Make sure your path does not list 'Medieval II Total War' twice!
6) You may need to delete your VirtualStore entry as detailed here or in this video.
Notes:
1. The Divide and Conquer Launcher is now capable of running Large Address Aware on the Medieval2.exe when required, so this is no longer done during installation.
2. If the launcher asks you to install Net Desktop Runtime, please install it. The launcher should take you to the official Microsoft download page, and this is a required prerequisite for our new exe launcher

is this same from discord,i download from discort before 5 months so is this that same version?
There might be a few new patches in this update idk?
Make sure you have the latest discord hotfix, that should give you the same version as this one.
Just wanted to comment and thank all the developers of this mod. When I first downloaded this mod I was in my final years of High school and having played MOS for a few years I was curious was DAC would be like. And to see the mod still thriving in 2023 having just completed my undergraduate degree is completely astonishing. Once again the effort you guys put into this mod is astounding and I hope to be playing for many more years to come :)
I launch the game and it doesn’t take up the whole screen. Any ideas?

I did everything in the video but if I try to Run the DaC_Launcher.exe<then it says I must install .Net Desktop Runtime to run this application

but then when I try to install the file McAfee scanned it and then it says Failed-Virus detected?

You need to install .Net Desktop Runtime since the launcher requires it. I have no idea why your antivirus is flagging the official installer for a Microsoft program, so you'll need to add an exemption

i was something like the 45th download and i havent been able to put it down, again. thank you all so much for the hard and amazing work that you put into this gem, its only the 7th month but i hope you win mod of the year for this beaut
used to be able to play online in 4.6 version but with this version when me and my friend run the launcher to launch the game and go multiplayer it shows incompatible. Why? We only have run up javelin animation ticked on.. Why can my friends and I not play online anymore?
hey i saw this the other day and had a thought maybe you havent tried, but the launcher maybe should have the same settings set as well. like arrows stay or Erebor start location should be the same as the other person. not a dev i hope that helps though

Yeah i got that too, but I tried launching it without LAA and it worked... unfortunetly it doesn'y help since the gam ethen crashes all the time after launch anyway

when i try to run DAC after installation some error shows up (00x000142 like this) and after pressing "ok" my whole medieval 2 game and mods show the same error. could you please tell me what's wrong with my DAC?

На счет ощыбки Error 0xc0000142, я пытался ее устранить, что только я не делал, это были чертовы танцы с бубном вокруг компьютера, сразу говорю что у меня не Стим версия и клал я на нее, не собираюсь покупать за кучу денег игру 15 летней давности, пусть подавятся. У меня торрент версия и не одна.
1. Менял языки.
2. Менял совместимости всех версий.
3. Переустанавливал 5 раз все, и на русском и на английском.
4. Качал Фреймворки и остальные проги, обновлял драйвера.
5. Проверял винду через команду командной строки CMD
sfc /scannow.
6. Хотел порыться в реестре но оказалось там все норм.
7. Устанавливал моды в разные папки и переименовывал файлы.
И НИЧЕГО БЛИН НЕ ПОМОГЛО. Чертова 10я винда, На 7ке DaC 4.6 шел без проблем, а тут такой гемморой. Короче ничего не заработало, ни этот мод не другой по первой эре. Сейчас сижу качаю еще одну версию, может повезет.

Если коротко то эта ошибка возникает от не той версии игры. Нужно скачать правельную версию и правильно ее установить.

Believe it or not I'm actually going to miss the barracks event. Oh well, can't wait to try the new version! Sad to see the dwarves didn't get many changes overall, but hey, can't improve upon perfection. ;)

Installer on linux was buggy for me. I've used this command to install the app.
innoextract -e DaC\ v5.exe
I've moved the content of the folder app to Medieval II Total War afterwards.

Good mod. I play it with pleasure. But I have a couple of comments on the game. The stealth system does not work for the player, the AI sees the player's troops hidden or far from him. For him there is no fog of war. Likewise in battles, hidden units are easily attacked even if they are standing in the forest behind the hill.
