ive put the file and everything in the folder, but when i restart steam its not there, please help?!

How on EARTH do you install it ? The readme is completely false.
Don't use the folder listed into the readme, instead just extract it to wherever your "SourceMods" folder is located, and that could be anywhere, make a search for it and when you get it put the mod content into it (the whole DayHard folder goes into SourceMods).

Put dayhard folder in the sourcemods folder like any other source mod
For the mod to show up on steam you need the "Patch for Day Hard". Then it should show up. It did for me.

i can't see in my gamelist in steam, what can i do
Do i need a steam copy for this mod? I have a cracked hl2.
