civ4chan is a 4chan-themed mod for Civilization 4: BtS 3.19. *28 available boards as civilizations, each with unique units and unique buildings; *67 new leaders, with custom music; *25 new civics; *7 new religions, with custom music; *35 custom resources; *22 custom improvements. NOTE: This Civ4 mod is no longer being updated. The BUG integration seems to prevent the mod from correctly running on Steam copies of CIV4. The author is currently working on a CIV5 mod.
Oh Lordy...I'm scared...
lol, oh man. Pedo bear ultimate unit? Or Guy Fawkes Mask. Let the insanity beign.
I downloaded this and put it inside of my Civ 4 BtS mod folder but it doesnt show up anywhere in my Load Mod or Play Scenario options when I look through BtS. Is there a seperate .exe for this that I can't find or am I missing something? I have everything updated completely and I own the Steam version (dunno if that is somehow affecting it) If anyone knows why its giving me a hassle I'd be very grateful for your help, since this sounds like one hell of a kickass mod.
Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization iv beyond the sword\Beyond the Sword\Mods
Yeah, Steam doesn't like mods for CIV4 very much. I believe a Steam user got it to work by searching his HDD for Sid Meier and then making a exe to boot up the mod outside of Steam or something. You can change the path of an exe by right clicking it, clicking "Properties," and pasting mod="Mods\civ4chan" or whatever the name of the mod is after the Target.
I'll try to ask someone who has gotten it working on Steam for a detailed explanation, and I'll put it in the readme.
Thanks for that. I'm a tad uneducated when it comes to the more in depth things with computers, so having that updated in the readme would be a great help.
Will you be adding more music?
Yeah, more music is coming in the next update. Eventually I'd like to see all leaders represented by unique music, but right now the music is functioning on a suggestion basis. Right now I'm taking suggestions, weeding out the bad ones, and implementing the good music.
Unfortunately this means that everyone suggests music for Gabe Newell and no one else. D:
