This is a weapon mod for Brutal Doom Purist Mode which makes weapons more responsivea and snappy, and tries to stay close to vanilla gameplay.
This is a weapon mod for Brutal Doom Purist Mode which removes the delay for pistol and shotgun. The aim is to keep a gameplay close from vanilla weapons but with a more responsive/snappy/modern feel.
Changes :
- Fists are faster.
- Pistol : fires as quickly as the player clicks without delay.
- Shotgun : vanilla fire delay removed- Chaingun : Beautiful Doom sprites instead of Brutal Doom minigun sprites
- Rocket Launcher : rockets are twice faster, as in PSX Doom. I always felt running as fast as rockets was strange in vanilla PC Doom.
Credits : Brutal Doom, and Beautiful Doom for chaingun sprites.

Really like the mod (the shotguns in particular are so much better), although I can't select the BFG 9000 for some reason?
You were right, thank you for your feedback. I had taken the ClassicWeapons.txt from Classic Brutal Doom as a base, but the BFG didn't work only with the brutalv21.pk3. I didn't notice since I play Brutal Doom with Classic Brutal Doom most of the time. I just uploaded a new file which corrects this issue.
