STEP ~ 1 MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PODCAT'S TFH EXE ! ! ! You can find this on the paradox HOI3 forum once you have registered your HOI3 base game.(the expansions alone are not enough). Overwrite the vanilla TFH exe with podcats. STEP ~ 2 Place the 6.0 installer in the main HOI3 directory (With all the vanilla exe files) Needs a clean install of TFH 4.02 - so remove any old BICE folders. Not save game compatiable.

I noticed one of the techs is made up kinda weird.
Artic warfare tech (SF) -1940
Ski Brigade (requires Artic Warfare) -1936 research
I suggest changing the years to make them chronologically correct.
How to upgrade the division strength tech? I don't have the black ice country flag and I am wondering why.
There is a bug in the Black ICE decision which is meant to set the country flag. It sets a global flag instead.
You could search for the Black ICE decision in the specials.txt file in the decisions folder for Black ICE and replace it with this ~

Where exactly do I find podcat's exe? I can't seem to find it on the paradox forums (and yes, I've registered my game)
there is a link on the Black ICE download post in the mods section of the forum. Otherwise its in tech support.

if you register your HOI3 game you can access the entire paradox HOI3 forum. Its paradox's way of making life more difficult for game pirates.

Hey it is possible to hunt hitler, stalin and other national leaders in this mod?
Yes. You can in theory use commandos or paratroops to attack Hitler, Stalin, Churchill, Mussolini, Roosevelt, and many others. Destroying them will trigger a severe penalty to that nation which might be enough to cause them to surrender. Of course this is easier said then done as the leaders are well protected and usually stay along way from the action.

There is a decision for it which gives some modifiers to Germany for 6 months
got a problem starting the game every time try to creating the world game crashes at texture 4xxx don't know why..
even tried to copy map cache offered here but the game starts to create the wworld and crashes again... also tried to start with hotfix 6.1 and map cache of it always the same..

after 2 hours of desparation i found my mistake did not copy the map cache in the right folder

you have an install problem, or maybe you are playing a custom game start ?
How do I get podcat's exe to run TFH with the mod, when I run it, it just runs vanilla TFH without that popup window to choose a mod
you only need to overwrite the vanilla TFH with podcat's exe. You may have installed incorrectly if Black ICE isn't in the list of mods on the launcher
There is a problem with UI in technology screen, some technology tabs are over other and therefore unselectable.
Btw only recently started playing HOI3 and discovered this mod, great job guys
PS: played until today version 3.1 everything was ok
you have a conflict with old files. You need to remove all old BICE files including the launchers.

one more question regards combat mechanics. seems to me that combat lasts much longer than vanilla or other mods that I have played, with both sides taking too long to lose organisation. I am playing Nat. China and first battle with communist lasted almost a year :D
depends on a number of factors. Terrain is far more important in BICE. You need to use the correct unit in the terrain and take full advantage of CA bonuses, generals and good division set up. Some units in some terrain will not lose a lot of org and will literally fight to the death.
