Ok truly the final version...maybe ;) Had some extra free time during second lock down here so fixed a lot of annoying bugs and added a lot of new features... see change log below.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where some companion missions wouldn't be completed if player clicked on companions tab in the report screen before they got back.
- Fixed an issue with Caer Guendoleu siege scene (not being able to work ram).
- Fixed issue with Pen Rhioydd siege scene, troops drowning in mote before reaching walls.
- Fixed possible issue with some marriage dialogs.
- Fixed a opp-code error with castle hunts.
- Fixed a possible opp code error when raiding villages.
- Fixed a bug where factions would keep offering player alliance, even if already allied.
- Fixed a potential bug with provocation quest.
- Fixed a bug that spawned a troop twice at court if family member was also players minister.
- Fixed a bug in some of the menus that fire when player continues as child after death.
- Fixed a bug that let you place young children as ministers.
- Fixed an issue in dialog code that didn't give proper choices / answers when seeking out marriage candidates, mostly for female players, but also lords not mentioning
daughters for male players.
- Fixed an issue with rulers not giving proper answer in dialog when asking to marry them.
- Fixed a bug that stopped Guild Chroniclers from spawning in towns with a merchant rest hall.
- Fixed a bug where building a scriptorium wouldn't save or would add a scriptorium to town even if not built yet.
- Fixed a bug that stopped some companions being spawned in camp scene.
- Fixed a potential bug when supporting Mab during main story quests.
- Fixed an issue with rest moral, no more moral hits while you are camping.
- Fixed a possible bug in kill lord script where some quests were not aborted.
- Fixed an issue with lord trials not killing / removing the lords from play after choosing to be-head them.
- fixed a opp-code error when sending emissaries.
- Fixed some floating objects.
- Fixed a few villages where fugitive wasn't spawning.
- Fixed a potential issue when a lady took over as kingdom ruler.
- Fixed a bug in rebellion scripts if leader being rebelled against was killed, but still had an heir.
- Fixed a bug in rebellion scripts that would say rebels successful even if it wasn't them that defeated the kingdom.
- Fixed some bugs in dialog.
- Fixed a new 4.5 bug with leader deaths and inheritance sometimes not passing crown properly to heirs.
- Fixed an issue with info pages.
- Fixed a bug/crash when attacking fisher boats.
- Fixed a new bug where player wasn't aging.
- Fixed an issue with town menu after recruiting from town with no one available.
- Fixed family mentioning former player when continuing as offspring (save-game compatibility issue).
- Other minor tweaks and bug fixes.
- This file has now been updated with the 5.1 and 5.2 patch
New Features:
- Added a Levy system for both player kingdoms and AI, you can now call the Kingdom Levy if at war.
- You can now start the game as a ruler of a major faction and chose from over 30+ of the starting kingdoms to be your faction.
- Tweaked battle codes a bit, should be a little less choppy during large battles now. (You should still keep setting under 300 max on field though).
- Added two new invasions, one for mid game around 520ad and another for late game around 550ad.
- Added two new invasion factions, the Iclingas (founders of Mercia), and the Angle Bernician's (founders of Northumbria).
- Added ability to change time progression in mod settings, you can now set each month equals one season, so 4 months per game year and thus speeding up time for children and invasions'.
- Levys, patrols and mercs can now join player in battles if close by.
- Tweaked diplomacy code a bit, factions will offer more treaties with friends.
- Female players ruling a kingdom can now start courting and possibly marry a faction leader's son even if in a different faction, once married if their husband's father dies and husband was main
heir, husbands old kingdom will join and unite with players kingdom.
- Added same possibility for male players who are married to princesses, if princess was main heir their old kingdom joins players kingdom.
- Added new player funeral if you die and continue as your offspring
- Your chamberlain and constable will now have different outfits depending on your culture.
- Battles will now turn foggy after casting weather magic.
- Added to / tweaked story and chronical display.
- Your courting panel in reports screen was expanded for female players.
- Tweaked some dialog a bit.
- Added new dialog to support new features.
- Female players can now ask about family relatives when talking to kings about marriage.
- Dishonorable male players can now force a marriage with lady's after one poem reciting.
- Tweaked Tavern news a bit.
- Added to / made tavern news more fitting to where player was asking. (eg. no more hearing about Alt Clut if talking to a tavern keeper in Francia).
- Added newscript to help move any stuck parties on map. (eg. Pict lords getting stuck in the far north). script will now move stuck lords to where they where going after an
allotted time.
- Added ability for player's kingdom NPC lords to have children the same as other kingdoms.
- NPC children names have been adjusted to reflect culture more.
- Tweaked some autumn trees (colour/look)
- Your minister will now randomly ask if you want another crown made if you are a ruler and lost it somewhere (sold or captured by enemy) - (costs 5000 coins).
- Game now keeps track of leader names so if an heir takes over a faction with the same name as a past ruler they will have the appropriate roman numeral added after their name, eg. Arthur II,
Arthur III etc. (currently only works for NPC factions and only applies to faction rulers)
- Gewissae will now change their name to Wessex at the appropriate time in history.
- Added some quests.
- Polished some scenes.
- Added a new tavern scene.

That's the plan. But Bannerlord is very different coding / system, its going to take some time and thought this warband version deserved at least one more update. :)

just change the folder name if you like. Doesn't effect gameplay. I will upload another file with name changed later to avoid confusion, it is 5.0 files though.

Same comments as others. when folder is extracted, instead of finding a 5.0 version it shows a 4.4.

How to get 300 population to upgrade village to town?
Quests, selling slaves if you have any, and patience. Also don't recruit from the village as this lowers population.
Upgrade town don't have tavern keeper how to get one?
Just released a small patch to fix that, should be save game compatible. I forgot that tavernkeepers were scene dependent.
Is there any way to see what the current population is? I can't find it anywhere.

There are a few villages in southern France that give you roman slaves that upgrade to legion. Also if you start game as a foreigner there is a random dynamic quest-line that lets you bring back the roman armies and troops.

You're very welcome. :) It was a lot of researching for sure, but I wanted to make it as historical as possible. For Character names I mostly used www.geni.com which has family trees going back to the dark ages. I've always loved this time period and History in general. It's nice to wonder sometimes if Arthur was indeed historical so I built the mod around this premise.
Amazing mod, been having tons of fun but I seem to have ran into a game breaking bug causing crashes even upon reload. Happened halfway to the location where I'm supposed to kill the lady of the lake after meeting Queen Mab. (Edit) Must have been a one time fluke, Hasn't happened in a new game.
After finish return rome quest and have unite all Britain and gual quest i stuck at the letter scene cant quite

This may be my favorite Mod of all time in any game. The amount of work you must have poured into this must be staggering, and I want to thank you for sharing it with all of us.
I know you said this is the final version, but it is the second final version. I just want to mention: if you do happen to be moved to, make adjustments my greatest wish for the mod is that there would be someone to fight in the channel after grinding for a ship for so long. Something like the Dena pirates from Brytenwalda, and maybe trading ships.

This is one of my favorite mods, and I'm glad that you decided to do more work on it.
I had noticed an oddity when creating a settlement. In this mod, the player can upgrade a settlement to a castle, but in the first settlement, the player would have to upgrade the settlement/hideout to a castle BEFORE upgrading the walls. This results in a castle with very poor outer defenses.
Were you aware of this? Just asking. Still, thanks for the upgrade all the same! Much appreciated.
can someone help me, i have been searching 'again' for quest boar on cauldron quest, i have found it for the first time but, i failed to hunt it. Any clue?
and for the holy grail, is it a must to have good relationship with the church/christian religion?
Hi, funny you should ask. I am trying to complete the quest myself as I am writing this. How did you find the boar? I am not even at that point... When I find it, I will try to beat it and let you know. (I have been hunting from the camp menu but only finding regular boars)
Hi, at the first time, i tracked it near the south of a town, arround west of the hut in red color(i forget the name). Unfortunately, during the hunt my character died by the boars, 4 of them charged at me at the same time. lol, i could have finish that bloody boar and finished this desperate mission.
not sure if this is a bug or not but turning off "gear affects skills" in my camp menu doesn't make the skill deduction go away when i wear heavy armour (i tested taking off the armour to make sure the issue was with that option)

There is one problem though. In every bandit camp I go, or even when there's bandits in my village,the number of those bandits are in thousands. Is it supposed to be like that or is it some kind of a bug?
Not sure, haven't experienced this or changed anything from native as it pertains to bandit sizes in villages, I now the native code goes by your character level, so only way it would be thousands if you've gone crazy cheat with upgrading your character or maybe a corrupt download.
How roman empire quest should appear ? What i need to do ?
As long as you are Roman, and have over 100 renown it can fire, its totally random though, its tied into the random events triggers

how does the mod determine heirs? i assassinated the lords of another faction to make it so that the king didn't have any lords and only had one heir (which was female), but instead of the crown passing to her, the kingdom just sort of... ended up in a coup where apparently the peasants of the kingdom overtook the lands
It's a little complicated, basically the script looks for oldest male heir starting with sons and then moves on and searches brothers, if they can't find any male heir they search for daughters, but the daughter has to be an adult and can not be married to another king, if she is married to another king, then that king takes over the kingdom, she will only take over if single or married to a lord. Wives of dead Kings don't inherit though, only daughters.
I did notice a potential issue in script if daughter wasn't married, but somehow belonged to a different faction then dead father, I corrected it now in the 5.2 patch, but if the daughter was part of fathers faction at death (or married to a lord in another faction) it should have still worked the way it was intended as written before.
ah, i see. thank you so much for the clarification! i love the mod, and can't wait to see what else you have in store for bannerlord etc.! what happened was that i eloped with the daughter of the king, and then assassinated everyone, and then the king (finally), but my wife just disappears and the kingdom goes into ruins. another time i tried doing that without marrying her, and she committed suicide in order to avoid being taken hostage by the peasant rebels O.O
