A simple and sloppy adaptation of the venerable S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Re-Animation Project 2.

Call of the Zone has this sublime Vanilla+ vibe that most weapon packs for CoC tend to disrupt. The vanilla weapons are pretty damn ugly though, especially the animations. The prime weapon pack to fix that while maintaining the vanilla aesthetic would be FWR (right-sided weapons, proper full and partial reload for every gun, oh my!), but I don't quite have the chops to make that kinda patch, so I (rather sloppily) adapted the next best thing - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Re-Animation Project 2 by KingFriday.
Since DoctorX introduced some improvements to the weapon sounds, I didn't keep any of SRAP2's, except for the reload sounds.
Installation's the usual: unpack and place the gamedata folder in the CoTZ directory.

Looks like there's bit of a problem with directory structure when it comes to pistols.

That's the crash I fixed when I reuploaded the file, make sure you downloaded the new archive.
Thanks, that worked but did you intend for there to be a 'gamedata'folder nested within the main gamedata folder?

Here is one that I had game freezes with Windows error sound and doesn't return to desktop. Your mod is the only one I have installed
Is it a consistent crash or does it happen randomly?
Randomly, usually after a varying amount of minutes. One time happened in the swamps, just heard shots and then crash. Second time was in Garbage, shot a bandit at the checkpoint and then crash.
I can't seem to replicate it. I don't think I can be of much help with that, random crashes are way out of my competence. Have you ever experienced a similar crash in vanilla CoTZ?
Only when using DX10 the game crashed in vanilla. DX9 Enhanced doesn't crash
This is the way to play! AO never felt too immersive, but changing only the animations makes a huge change on gunplay
