I play on 1.5.3, you don't? the new features are preaty nice, especially the DSCRIPT support. The new weapon pack is a bit buggy though, but that should be fixed in 1.5.4 soon enough.
This add-on should work on outdated versions like 1.5.2 and even older, so if you prefer the classic versions, it will still work.

Bro, this never works for me, i installed the original mod and loaded this after that one, but i never get to see this indicator
I tried by equipping the nade and by quick trowing it, but i never get this to be visible
Did you throw it with RMB?
The indicator only shows up when you use right mouse button to "prepare" the throw.
If yes, are any of the files overwritten by other mods?

The control mappings never mention anything about "preparing" to launch a nade so...
You can actually throw grenades much further with RMB.
