What I tried was to recreate the original idea of Beta Sci textures. Not the scientists, but those detailed textures.
Well, as the title says, I highlighted the texture of the scientists, but what exactly did I do?
Half Life allows textures in a scale of 512x512 pixels, in a maximum color range of 8bit, in the beta (as seen in the first photo) it is seen that they used a higher range, and possibly even in 16bit. What I tried was to recreate the original idea of the textures. Not the scientists, but those detailed textures.
I have used the LeonelC models (as always in my addons) but this time I think they are the best for this idea, since he relied heavily on beta scientists.
Total credits for LeonelC, I just rescaled and edit the texture of the model he created.
And Run-Think-Shoot-Die ported OP4, all credits to him
(update: I have made an even more detailed texture with more resolution using the Topaz Gigapicl AI program.)
Awesome job! What kind of program did you use to make these textures look so good?
Thank you! I Use Milkshape3D to rescale the textures. And photoshop to edit them and be much more detailed.
Oh nice!
My oh my!
MY GOODNESS
AAH! these look nice, to be honest I never took notice of that you can see Walter's eyes on the glasses in the retail textures, thought it was a pre-release thing.
Thanks! It was always there, I had never even noticed before editing the models honestly
Esta bueno 👌
Gracias!
"Aww Freeman, I see that you are in this mess."
