Attempts to realistically imitate the behaviour of light passing through a lens and hitting a camera sensor.
Modelled after my old 28mm OM lens. This should look good on its own (I haven't tested on DX8 or anything) but if you want to get the exact look then here are the relevant mods:
PiP scopes look a bit janky with this, thanks to the ambient occlusion, but I'm used to it and barely notice at this point. Just some weird shadows when you zoom in alot.
Depth of field setting:
Adjust the circled number to your preference. Higher numbers result in less blur, these screenshots are taken at about f1.8 and I play at around f6.3 - f8.
Film grain and depth of field. It looks great without both but I recommend not disabling grain because it helps to reduce banding, thus smoothing out otherwise rough-looking colour gradients.
Auto-exposure brightens or darkens the image based on the brightness of whatever is at the center of screen. Shadows become grainier as the exposure increases, as happens when you increase the ISO setting of a real camera.
Bloom, occlusion and ambient light.
What addon do you have for the NPC models?
HD models :)
