Makes the PDA's radio and music player start again automatically after you change level / reload a save.
We've all wished at some point that we wouldn't have to navigate the PDA one more time to put back the music/radio we were listening to... Well, now you don't have to. This addon makes it so that when you change level / reload a save, the PDA will automatically set itself back to what you were listening to before.
Note 1 : It is impossible to play back the exact song in the radio mode. It's only possible to go back to the selected channel.
Note 2 : If ever you've installed an addon that adds new songs / radio channels, and want to uninstall them, make sure to stop the music before doing so.
This addon requires the following :
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly 1.5.2
• LUA Unlocalizer
To install the addon :
1. Download and install the requirements; Download this addon;
2. Merge the contents of the gamedata folder with your game's folder of the same name;
2.a. Either with a mod manager JSGME/MO2 (highly recommended);
2.b. Or manually (highly unrecommended).
To update the addon :
1. Delete the files from the previous version;
1.a. By disabling the addon in your mod manager, and then deleting the files;
1.b. Or by deleting the files one by one if you added them manually;
2. Add in the new files from the new version
2.a. Either with a mod manager JSGME/MO2 (highly recommended);
2.b. Or manually (highly unrecommended).
To uninstall the addon :
1. Simply remove the files added by the addon.

Thanks for the lil QoL mod.
Now my Shansonyetka listening sessions shall not be interrupted.
You're welcome, enjoy some good music :)
thank you, you have a very intelligent brain
Truly an intellectual intellect
Definitely one of the minds of our time.
I am indeed a mind :hellonewstalker:
oh my ******* god thank you so much i've been waiting for this for so ******* long i can't thank you enough
I always thought it was impossible for some reason, then two days ago I decided to take a look, and made it work in a few hours of work :D
Excellent, I've been needing this for a long time
The wait is over, it's time for music now 😎
Is there any way so that when you start listening to radio, the background music becomes muted, and when you stop, it becomes unmuted? Exactly like Fallout New Vegas
Yes actually. The PDA already does that with psi emissions. It's outside of this addon's scope, but if you want I can look into it and send you a modified version privately.
I'd love it! If it isn't too much work ofc.
I play with Ambient music pack and a few added tracks of my own and turning the radio on would mean both of them start playing.
Oh my gosh, I love you for this. Thank you, Ashes 👍
I've been waiting for a mod like this for the longest time. I have my own customised Zone.FM songs and listen to it often. It's irritating having to turn the radio back on manually on map changes even via the hotkeys.
From now on, if I get ambushed and surrounded the second I transition into the Army Warehouses from Rostok, and Heavy Metal or Hard Rock starts playing automatically, at least I can go down Rocking🤘
20/10!
I'm glad you enjoy it :)
there is an issue where the game doesn't let you change radio channels if you were listening to a radio channel and went through a loading screen (save or level change).
Indeed. I was able to find and fix the problem, packing the files and updating the addon in a few minutes, thanks !
can you make a patch for this mod? I'm playing as a Merc in warfare and i love to hear some American radio. Thank you so much! Moddb.com
Hey, check Anomaly's Discord server. If I didn't tag the wrong person, you should see my message in #modding-general, with what you asked.
Would it be possible to make this work for the radio from Hideout Furniture?.
Moddb.com
Yes it seems to be possible, but it comes down to basically redoing this current addon. It's not an insane amount of work, but I honestly don't really feel like doing it.
My edits are very simple, you can tell the author of HF he's allowed to reuse my code to implement that on his radios. Or tell him to contact me if he's interested.
Thank you for being open to sharing your work!. I'll pass the word along. :)
This is how we build a modding community :) I'm fine for anyone to use my work as long as they credit me for it, and it's not a direct copy (i.e. someone just re-posting it).
finally fallout system radio
Hello, I have a problem. The music player in 1.5.2 cannot add music from other playlists. As long as there is a radio_zone_fm.ltx file, the game will crash when loading. Do you know the reason for this? It's been a long time since I can play Victor Choi's music in the game, it's very painful
Hi. Are you sure your issue is related to my mod, your message doesn't make that clear.
In any case, can you send me the log from your game by Discord? You have my tag or my discord server in the mod description.
Thank you for your reply, I'm sure this is not a problem caused by your mod. i found the reason
It's stupid to say, because 1.5.2 doesn't have playlist 2, so any custom playlist starting with 1.5.1 with a playlist starting with 3 will crash the game.
It is possible to add more playlists to the PDA in 1.5.2, it's just that the paths where the music needs to be have changed.
If you want to add more playlists, I recommend you just base yourself on an existing mod that adds more, and place your own music instead. It's easier.
Thank you, I have done it, but there is still a little problem with the audio conversion OGG format. But I will solve this by myself in the future, I wish you can make better MOD in the future
OGG format conversion? Looks like you make up problems for yourself as you go, having audio as ogg format is required by default.
I've tested it a bit on 1.5.1 and it does seem to work without any issues. I don't know if it will break somewhere ahead in the future when an uncommon special condition is met on a script, but yeah, no crashes so far. Great addon!
I make 1.5.2 a hard requirement so that people start updating their games. It's really demanding for us modders to maintain a billion versions. So we want people to update at some point.
1.5.2 has been out for a while now and the few people that didn't update yet are just lazy (sorry you're one of them :/).
Regardless, some of my mods will work on both 1.5.1 and 1.5.2. It's more so that I won't give support shall any issue occur.
Anyway, in the end I'm glad you're able to enjoy the addon :)
It’s true that switching it on again each time is boring… Thanks !
There is also the night vision that go out for me on level change, (maybe load too ? Can’t remember atm… ) it’s not vanilla NV tho, it’s beef’s, can’t remember either if it’s the same without it. Would be cool if it rested on too. Don’t know if it could be reworked the same way tho.
It should be possible. All that's needed is (i) a way to know if NVGs are currently on and (ii) a scripted way to turn the NVGs on.
Given you have both these things, it should be pretty straight forward to implement that. Perhaps you can suggest it to Beef, if he's still in the modding business.
Oh, I didn't realize this mod was you too,
You've definitely posted nothing but great stuff ! ^^
Thanks for all that ! And thanks for your answers too.
Yes I know where I could start to ask !
Hi. Can you make default music to turn off when you start radio and start on when you off radio?
I can put that in my backlog and see if it is possible. Although right now, this addon is unfortunately not my priority.
