haha , nice to see you made the addon! Reading the game_relations file, Duty and Ecologists are neutral to the military. It makes sense that killing a neutral faction does add negative reputation.

yes it makes sense but in dead air it stopped my progression. now i have to restart my game since i have -500 relations with ecologists. next play through this wont happen to me again :)

Same issue, I love the fact that it cause you trouble to kill military.

But there should be more ways to improve relations with ecologist if you get negative rep with them because you couldn't avoid a military squad in the great swamps or something like that.

Until such measures are taken, this addon is a god send!

Also, anybody knows how to reset rep with the factions so I don't have to start a new game? Atleast for now.

It looks like you could use the following functions in Lua:

for general reputation:
db.actor:set_character_reputation(number)

reset other factions their friend/enemy state to your character? set_community_goodwill_for_faction("actor_"..faction)
example, if your character is ecologist you would use:
set_community_goodwill_for_faction("actor_ecolog")

You'll have to test it yourself, game_relations.script and azazel_mode.script have examples

Any chances for reset feature for non-modding / scripting players? :)

Don't know yet if buying military pass from Snitch in bar will grant me ability to make some military side quests and improve ecologists rep and I woulkd hate to start over - some way to reset the rep would be blessing, it's just -75 now

in 098a I didn't knew about those "connections" and when I cleared south Cordon post and many hours later found out nerd faction I always loved to cooperate with is shooting at me, I basically quit the game and removed it from drive instantly :D, soooo frustrating

Do you know how to do this? I'd really like to patch my progression with this. Currently duty is -850, but even changing the value with cheat engine doesnt help. Seems like the local duty guys guarding the gate to Rostok is hostile no matter what. I'd hate to starting over from the beginning, cause I killed military.

Sooo... there's no way anyone will make a script to reset relations? Man, that's a shame.

What a baffling game design choice, basically breaking game and stopping players from progression.

This addon is an absolute must have for everyone playing Dead Air. I guess I'll have to start over again too :D

Unless you're seen in the very act of killing a military or other guy by the same faction you're killing, it makes no sense to lose goodwill whatsoever. This mod's a logical idea.

I've been thinking about adding a guy to my mod who could give you a "new name", resetting reputation and enemy factions. Haven't had time to test the scripts, but if you have something working I'm interested too. If you know Lua, else I would have to mess up a players faction reputation and script it myself haha

Nice idea, rather than adding a new guy you could make the information dealer in the bar provide this service (makes sense and saves placing a new character).

Edit: Actually since he would be walled behind a possibly hostile Duty that might be a not so great idea. Since it would involve messing with the PDA it might make more sense for Spore or Nimble to provide this service.

It could be possible that a few characters are able to do this. Snitch sounds like a solid candidate, as well as Owl. Limpid may also be able to help, since he's a technician with less than stellar ethics.

THIS. I always disliked how you can assassinate some random friendly/neutral Stalker in the middle of the woods at midnight with no one around for miles and it would make your reputation and faction relation worse. It's like are people psychic now? xD

Hello! When i kill military that close to duty members then duty start attacking me. Can you fix that?

UPD: Also when i get spotted by military when staying near duty, they same start to attack me.

Military in minus, duty about 800
1. I am attack military and duty see that = duty attack me
2. Military spot me, and in this time i am near duty = duty atk me
And this call the chain of events!
When any other faction see that duty attack me - this faction starting attack me too.

i really appreciate your mod. but i have some question.

is there anyway to reset rep with ecologist? my rep with ecologist already reach -900

and when i enter near the yantar area, scientist trying to kill me

i really really need to get psy-protection for the main quest.. but what can i do?

should i restart the game? but i already spend too much time..

Glad I started using this BEFORE I went rampage killing Military. No idea why the dev team originally thought this was a good idea, and quite frankly the permit thing is DUMB.

I think shared rep makes sense only if two factions are real close allies (friends) with each other. Like if duty and military would be friends, then killing military would negatively impact your relations with duty and vice versa. As well when killing enemies of a given faction should put you in a better position with that faction. If it all worked like that it would be fkin amazing.

i don´t know why, but after a mission for petrenko to kill a bandit in dark valley, i found a millitary in the ruins before rostok pass (mercadillo) and when i kill him, everybody becomes hostile to me; even my companion turns red (he seems to be normal, not attack, and obeying comands to move etc, but is red like an enemy) and the dutyers at the gate comes an kill us. every single time.
i was using this addon for most of the game, and ClearSky and Loners are friendly to me (1000 rep)
if anybody can help, i´ll be most grateful

Hi, Ive installed no share negative reputation with all fractions file and Ive noticed, that killing fraction member takes only -5 rep points. I’d like to restore old -50 value. What parameter should I change? And second thing I want to do is disabling positive reputation between all fractions. The only positive points would be making tasks for them. Anybody could guide me through this plz??

Did the new update made this mod stop working?. Since it doesn't work for me unfortunately

Edit: Okay apparently the rostok checkpoint guards are only hostile to me so its not that this mod doesn't work. I managed to somehow glitch my way through to rostok for free and now i can't really get to rostok anymore but at least this mod works.
