Based on Absolute Nightmare. Adds a screen shake, sprint and complicated aim system. Rebalanced for hardcore skill.
Based on Absolute Nightmare
- Rebalanced weapons damage (Mostly for Hardcore skill)
- Stronger recoil (MUCH greater)
- No hitscans (bullets and buck-shots now has its own speed and gravity, so if you want to shoot at long distance - correct your aim)
- Shotguns inflict more damage at close range. More closer more damage
- Limited sprint (Control every your step - when you tired, you almost dead)
- Player speed affects to accuracy (Pistol, shotguns, minigun and rocketlauncher. Force you to wisely choose your position and movement)
- Aim concentration (When you stand still and don't shoot, it make your first shot more accurate. Concentration takes a one second. Affects pistol, shotguns and rocketlauncher)
- Some balance tweaking for Hardcore skill (Recommended skill)
- Fixed some height mistakes
All levels playtested at Bring it On and Hardcore skill
Singleplayer only
INSTALATION:
Just use attached 2_bd64dynamic.wad instead of the standard 2_bd64.wad
If you using Zandronum with skins folder: remove 2_bd64.wad and place here 2_bd64dynamic.wad. Simple.

This is a good idea - a good approach. I hope you're able to work on it more. Doom 64 really lends itself to the "survival horror" approach with its dark atmosphere and focus on tricks and traps rather than waves of enemies. I think this is a good direction to move the core gameplay into.
I look forward to trying this one out. Thanks for the upload. And of course, thanks go to Brutal Doom 64 for providing a fantastic platform to build on, and bringing Doom 64 into the spotlight. I'm hoping Sarge also goes the survival horror route.
Nice to see this, thanks. This almost complete now, for version 1c. Lets wait for tactical game class. I have just one thing unreleased - the death agony when monsters dying without gibbing and more variants of pain, to make them more diverse and responsive to every shot. But i am can't work with new sprites - not a "knight of the brush". Lol google rocks.

Well, firstly - download the original bd64 pack. Extract the content somewhere, and goto skins folder. You'll see three wad files - the maps, music and bd64 core. Delete or replace bd64 mainfile with my 2_bd64dynamic.wad. That's it.

Thank i was looking at absolute nightmare files used order of the mod as guide order i used first maps then your mod then zmusic and it worked and it's a awesome mod
Problem: when using the alternative/GZDoom HUD with the kill/secret/item counters enabled, the sprint meter overlaps them.
I'd just fix it myself, but it looks like the source code for the ACS module isn't bundled in your WAD…

I like the idea of tactical gameplay, i just miss 2 things: alt fire and reload(grenades and a rifle can be a good idea too). It improve the gameplay a lot, thanks to share
Yes, but I don't work with graphics. Let's wait for the update with the tactical class, I move this system there and remove the delay between Fire states.
If you want, some wads add reload to d64 guns. O ever a simple goldeneye reload can be fun for a realistic/survival addon.

Э... Я не очень понял, но bd64 dynamic создан на базе Absolute nightmare, который отличается от стандартного bd. Теперь нужно перенести механику на v2, что потребует больше времени. И вырезать стамину от Сержанта - оно работает немного не так, как нужно.

Will Fatalities be included or left out in BD64 dynamic?
A Fatality Addon for BD64 may appease those who miss is, Addon would mean no to that otherwise since a lot of addons may include things that the regular may already denounce.
I'm waiting for fatalities too but I hear it's not going to be made cause D64 is supposed to focus on survival horror more than over the top gameplay. But the way I see it Brutal Doom from Doom 1 and 2 is WHY those versions are popular, THAT'S what people want. Don't get me wrong, I love the way BD64 is right now, BUT, I would like to see (at the very least) an option in the future to turn the gameplay into survival horror or original Brutal the way there is a Tactical version when you first start. Maybe if I donate enough to the creator of BD64 it will 'motivate' him to do it, but seeing as I'm broke as fudge I'm stuck being a good little boy until Santa comes up with a mod.
