SOUND PATCH IN-GAME:
INSTALLATION:
Simply extract "common.bnk" and replace the original file in \Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\data\_lvl_pc\sound
For Steam users: \Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\data\_lvl_pc\sound
You should always make backup of the original one in case you want to uninstall the Sound Patch
F.A.Q.:
Q: Why do some things use the same sounds as others?
A: BF2 is designed such that some sounds, like the shotgun,
are shared between all or some factions. We can't change this.
Q: Are the voice lines being changed?
A: No, voice lines are not being changed for this mod. Aside
from pain and death cries, voice lines are kept in another
file that we currently are unable to modify. We may do this
in the future, however.
Q: Is the music being changed?
A: No, music is not being changed for this mod. Music is kept in
another file that we are currently unable to modify.
Q: My game is silent and sound effects aren't playing. What do I do?
A: Restart the mission or game. If neither work, please note that
some mod maps, particularly Clone Wars Endor and Clone Wars Hoth
mods (but possibly others as well) do not work with sound mods.
There is no fix for this. Additionally, the simultaneous use of
another sound mod such as a voice line mod can sometimes put too
much strain on BF2's engine, resulting in the loss of sound.

⚠️Attention! There is one very serious problem. After installing your Sound Remaster, on the Polis Massa map except for music and some unit replicas, nothing sounds (no sound effects are heard). This only happens in the era of the Galactic Civil War⚠️
Same problem here, everything is silent except music and voices on Polis Massa GCW.
I also had Boba Fett's blaster be silent in Hero Assault in a custom map, but it works fine in stock Mos Eisley, so it's probably unrelated.

Yup. No weapon sounds including secondary weapons it's only GCW for me, too.

I've been waiting for this and it was definitely worth it im so glad you fixed that awful'ping ping' sound the clone blasters made and the saber sound are better too thanks for making this.
This is actually really great; a fantastic edition to your remastered mods for sure. One small suggestion I have, which totally my opinion, but would you consider adding somewhat more of an "oophm" for the blaster pistol/carbine for the republic. The sound is good, but I feel there could be more of a base behind it. Not sure how you would accomplish this aside from getting another sound entirely, but just my thought. Thanks for the mod!!
Nice mod. But unpopular opinion, I prefer the 2008 Clone Wars battle droid and super battle droid voices. Is there a way you can make it happen?

the original game had the accurate movie stormtrooper e-11 carbine sound, you made a weaksauce new sound for it! NOT movie accurate mod like you advertise! ruins stormtrooper gun sound, 0/10
This is a great mod however idk why but like many other have said this sound replacement mod isn't perfect as polis masa doesn't have any blaster sounds when playing galactic civil war era. Please fix this issue :c

I have gone ahead and linked the original common.bnk aka sound for classic battlefront 2 as some people may not like that Polis Masa doesn't work for GCW. Feel free to download the original common.bnk for those of you who didn't backup your original common.bnk Drive.google.com
