Makes technicians buy spare parts obtained by disassembling weapons.
Spare parts obtained by disassembling weapons are used in the AWR repair/upgrade system, otherwise they're useless since traders buy them only for 1 RU. Now you can sell them to the technicians, go to one and ask them for a job, if you have spare parts in your inventory you will be able to ask if they want them (did this instead of adding an extra line at the start of dialogue to edit less files and minimize incompatibility with other mods)
Values can be adjusted how you want by editing the mbp.script file, the lines part_cost[***] determine how much cash you get for that part category while condition_multiplier[***] lines set how much less you get for worn/rusty ones.
For example the default values
condition_multiplier["good"] = 1
condition_multiplier["worn"] = 0.5
condition_multiplier["rusty"] = 0.25
part_cost["barrel"] = 500
part_cost["trigger_components"] = 500
part_cost["bolt_carrier"] = 500
part_cost["bolt"] = 500
part_cost["gas_tube"] = 500
mean that you get 500 for each part, 250 (500*0.5) if it's worn or 125 (500*0.25) if rusty.
So if you want to be paid the same regardless of quality change the condition_multiplier lines to
condition_multiplier["good"] = 1
condition_multiplier["worn"] = 1
condition_multiplier["rusty"] = 1
Doesn't require a new game
Thank you.
very nice
This is good sh*t, now the parts actually worth something.

This mod makes a lot of sense! Like your other ones for LD1.3
Just good old quality of life improvements. Thank you, sir!
God I was pulling my hair out looking for this in the mod pack and it was here all along lol!
Thank you for this!! however I cannot make it to work! I have some spare parts ( worn triggers, functioning triggers, some bolt carriers, that I dissasembled with AWR´s multitool).
When I go to Xenotech, and click on " Is there any work you want to be done", he says " Sorry, dont have anything" but no option to sell shows up in the dialogue below. Just the one to exit the dialogue.
I installed with JGSME and it is not being overwritten by anything.
strelocc, sorry to bother you, I really want to add this to my mod list, do you know the solution?
Edit: I did not give Putinka to Xenotech, could this be the issue? Maybe when you do, then you unlock all his dialogue. I am going to check it.
you dont need to give him anything the text is there by default, dont use jgsme just unzip in your last day folder, check that you have mbp.script and dialog_manager.script in your gamedata/scripts folder
Solved. It was a mistake on my part, JGSME installed it without gamedata root. I guess that when you install 20 mods in the same session, you forget to check if it unzipped correctly.
The mod doesn't seem to be working for me. I have quite a few parts and the dialog does not show. Currently in Dead City as a mercenary.
upload a screenshot of your root last day folder (the one that contains gamedata) and of the gamedata contents
Hey it seems that its just the mercenary mechanic in dead city that isn't working. I've tested this with the Free stalkers, Bandits, Monolith, Duty, ecologist, and clear sky; they work fine. Excellent mod, thank you for making it!
This sounds good, however does anyone know how to disable the AWR addon and go back to the simpler system from Misery, ie to have large or small weapon parts rather than individual components? EDIT: ooops, just discovered that CoM / LD based on Misery 2.1 therefore won't have the dismantling system from v2.2 to revert to. Never mind

Is it for 1.3 or 1.3+ too? Because I can't get it to work on 1.3+, even after installing it manually, because for some reason it was said here in the comments, that it's the right way, which it clearly isn't
