Theses video tutorials explain how to change how much energy the augmentations and upgrades use, their strenght and also if they are enabled or disabled by default when Adam Jensen returns as an augmented protagonist (So theses change work only AFTER the Prologue/intro mission).

1 - How to enable an augmentation (or upgrade) by default in Deus Ex Human Revolution (Note : This works AFTER the prologue, when Jensen comes back as an augmented individual after his 6 montsh hiatus :

2 - How to disable an augmentation/upgrade by default (You ever wanted to disable the radar because it makes the game too easy ? Here is how to disable it and make it possible to enable it later - if you want - by using praxis kits. Also, the method works with all other augmentations and upgrades.

3 - How to change the strenght of the dermal armor augmentation (Showcase + explanation at the end):

NB : The Values located in the upgrades paragraphes (shown in "3 -) can be used to set how strong the level 1 and level 2 upgrades are. This can be used to make the player sprint longer :

And it can even be used completly disable the energy use by the takedowns melee attacks :

... or even better : Customize their energy use by changing how Jensen's energy cells work :
