With your guardsmen, you wanna upgrade them to plasma guns as soon as possible and you wanna overwhelm, or atleast keep their units distracted because ur units are weaker than any other races besides the eldar and dark eldar. Ur units die in one hit pretty much, and ur squad does barely any damage to a tank or building with more armor than a listening post.
u wanna have a few sentinel squadrons and then u want ur two leman russ squadrons to provide heavy support, and ur kasrkin and ogryn to provide that extra boom u need to defeat the person ur fighting
