Post tutorial RSS CD Key For Coop Warfare

Enter your CD Key on first install of the Coop Warfare Mod in 'Client Settings'.

Posted by on - Basic Starting a mod

On first installation of the Coop Warfare mod you won't be prompted for your CD Key and may need to install it manually in Client Settings. You'll soon know if this applies to you as you'll see a warning when attempting to join a server.

Alternatively, you can also enter the Key in the Key.ini file as follows:

[FEAR]
CDKey=####-####-####-####-####

This will typically be located in your:
C:\Program Files\Sierra\FEAR\CoopWarfare_User or C:\Program Files\Sierra\FEARCombat\CoopWarfare_User folder depending on F.E.A.R. version. Amend the location for your OS version as well.

This doesn't work for me, I've copied the Key.ini into CoopWarfare_User but I can't play. If I try to enter the key in Client Settings it just disappears after I've entered it.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

I managed to get around it by trying to host through the client and choosing the maps there. After the game complained about my cd key I started the dedicated server from the fear folder. It then starts with the settings that I tried to host with from inside the client.
