Get access to the closed Beta
We are giving access to a closed beta version of Runes. Fans of Runes on Facebook can send us a private message. Let us know why you think you have what it takes to be a good beta tester and we will contact you on Facebook if you are selected.
A Leap Motion is not required to enter the closed beta, since the game will be playable with a mouse and keyboard too. Of course developers who already have a Leap Motion are more than welcome to contact us!

Use thicker fonts on map & GUI. Use that runic font maybe, its a lot better.

Improve lighting around the enemy, more light on him. Currently it looks like he is hiding and not so important not menacing.

Create some visible animated Caster Hands, if you can for the player.

Improve stonehenge scene lighting, more bright, more torches or something.

Widen stonekeep corridor its claustrophobic.

Magic effects are good. Runes are okay.

Thanks for the feedback!

While many of those things are by design, we will have a look at what we can do :)

For example: we had a 3D animated hand (it's still in the tutorial level) but we decided to remove it for the combat. Since you use your own hands to cast magic runes with Leap Motion, there's no point in having a 3D hand in front of you, it's not immersive. We want to give the player the feeling HE is de druid, and not just controlling a druid avatar.

Furthermore we where aiming for dark claustrophobic settings. Still I'll have a look at what the beta testers have to say about it :) Thanks again!
