Greetings, I am trying to bring you an ambitious project of mine, a mod for C&C Generals Zero Hour based on "Valkyria Chronicles", a turn-based strategy Japanese game. As I am aware there are not many people on this website and many C&C players don't know about Lore behind the war that happening in this fictional continent.

Let me enlighten you...

Europa is currently split between two superpowers; the Atlantic Federation and the East Europan Imperial Alliance, with the independent Principality of Gallia caught between them.

The United States of Vinland is located across the ocean West of Europa, while there are known to be other powers, as yet unnamed, in the Far East.

Prior to the arrival of the Valkyrur, the Darcsen tribes were one of the main (possibly the main) groups of people that ruled most of Europa. When the Valkyrur arrived in Europa, the Darcsen tribes fought them in a war which saw the Darcsens defeated and scattered across Europa, marked for millennia to come with the stigma of the "Darcsen Calamity".

The end of the war marked the first year of the Europan Calendar (EC).

While GDI and NOD have Tiberium as their main resources. Europa have their own main resources that so valuable every country try to monopolize it's used called "Ragnite".

Ragnite is a type of mineral with many different uses, from anti-tank weapons to fuel and medicine. The country of Gallia is known for its large Ragnite deposits. Sufficiently refined Ragnite emits sunlight-like light, while Ragnite ore glows blue.

Control of viable Ragnite sources in Europa was the primary reason for both The First and Second European Wars.

The Industrial Revolution of the 18th Century led to skyrocketing demand for ragnite, pitting Europa's twin giants in a race for resources. When the crown prince of the Empire was assassinated at the start of the 20th Century, tensions spiraled into an all-out war.

The First Europan War was a particularly brutal and bloody war. During the conquest of Fhirald, the Imperial Army executed many captured Fhiraldian soldiers, only sparing those they believed to be of use to the occupying forces.

During the conflict, the Imperial forces were the first to employ a corps of newly developed tanks and the use of tank and combined infantry tactics developed in leaps and bounds. However, the majority of the conflict was still fought using old-fashioned infantry tactics, which eventually descended into trench warfare.

Eventually, the two exhausted powers signed a cease-fire agreement which lasted until the beginning of the Second Europan War. Interestingly, however, an official end to the war was never signed.

During the early months of the war in 1935, the Imperial Alliance was able to gain the upper hand over the Federation.

In March of 1935, the Federation launched a counter-offensive named Operation Northern Cross, seeking to land a decisive strike at the capital of the Imperial Alliance and crush the imperial morale. The operation was foiled by the early winter of 1935, and the Federation and the Empire signed an armistice that didn't last long, and effectively marked the beginning of the stalemate stage of First European War.

Also in March of 1935, the Empire launched a separate invasion of Gallia with the intent to capture the small country's large ragnite reserves to supplement their own. This is where you're gonna start your Journey in Europa as a Commander of either side.

That's it for now, sorry for the delay, but I'm just trying to make sure everything runs fine without some frequent bugs I keep encountering. But we're on it, more updates on the progress would be posted next month.
