Well, college has me busy. I finally got around to looking at my old source code and as it turns out, one of the HL2 updates completely shattered the entire project. This means I am back at square one and have to do an entire rebuild from the ground up. After much deliberation, I've decided not to do this yet. I plan to wait for the much-anticipated Source SDK update (that includes the changes made in DoD: Source). Hopefully I will be able to have HDR lighting without much extra effort to merge code bases or anything of the sort. Also, the debug build I had from the older source code is also shattered, without any reasoning as to what broke it.
This project hasn't been abandoned.
