In a great hall with pillars hewn out of the living stone sat the Elvenking on a chair of carven wood. On his head was a crown of berries and red leaves, for the autumn was come again. In the spring he wore a crown of woodland flowers. In his hand he held a carven staff of oak.

Upcoming Patch
The upcoming patch will set TLD Overhaul to version v1.8.3L. It contains bugfixes reported from the former version as well as the for now final overhauled version for Mirkwood. Trolls and Wargs got a first overhaul now too and some other little work has been done. With the patch the mod will be equivalent to TLD nightly patch r3217, so pretty much uptodate.
The Woodland Realm
The armouries have been reworked and got now their for now final version. You will see reworked armouries for the Royal troops, the palace guard as well as a new reward armour. Thranduil and Tauriel got new equipment as well. A big thanks and special credits go here to Manuborz of the 'Rise of Mordor' team who shared some of his beautiful work with us, new shoulder pauldrons, graves, bracers and a spear.
Other changes
There will be also overhauled Wargs and Trolls. We will test how it works out with the new versions, so it also depends on the feedback you guys will be giving after the patch is released.
Otherwise some will maybe find out that performance improved a bit for the factions Dale, Rhun and Erebor. Their textures have been a bit reorganized for that, I hope it will get better for the ones of you who have had problems there. Rhun and Isengard will also get a little buff. Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli won't be appearing as recruitable companions anymore, there are new plans in work for them. From the bugs you will probably be missing the crossbows who first clucked like chickens before they attracted the wolves howling. More detailed listings will be written down with the patch release.
Roadmap for the future
As I have noted at other places before already, the next version will include overhauled factions for Gondor, Rohan and Harad. Gondor and Rohan might come a bit unexpected for some because they already got a (partially) rework. For Gondor you can expect however new fiefdom designs and Rohan will also be diversified a bit more than you could see in the films. At this point we are leaving of course a bit the goal to let everything look like in the films. However, if we would only follow the films the looks of the armies would get dull after a while as we also don't see a lot of low and medium tier units there. So we improvise a bit and try to have an interesting and cohesive design for them. And I really hope you will like it in the end.
With the overhaul of the faction Harad we finally start to rework some of the evil factions. Masoldo loves the Mirkwood faction while I love the Gondorians, so you see how it could happen to concentrate on those first. However, since some of you have a heart for the evil guys we don't want ot forget about them. Khand, Mordor/Dol Guldur and Gundabad might follow close by but we will see what the future brings.
So, I hope you got enough informations about the next patch and our future plans. Feel free to comment and ask questions here ^^

This is so good! :) Excellent work on this mod!
Thanks :)
The current version has already overhauled Mirkwood Elves ^^
Yeah, slowly there can be noticed a returning playerbase to Warband.
Pretty good stuff! Those punk wargs look scary.
Will have to get used to the new wargs, still not sure if they are a perfect fit.
I like them, tbh. But I have a feeling they are quite high poly. :D
Well, some price has to be paid :D
True dat. :D
lol, looks great!
Thanks :)
Great work! Will try it next time i play TLD.
What about the goblins are they still the size of uruks?
They are WIP and will hopefully get smaller at some point.
Hallo, please tell the release date of the patch><
No
Just don't make gundabad orcs like in the Hobbit movie. Please.
I wouldn't really plan to let them all look like this. Perhaps some few high tier units but not more. I don't really like their look in the Hobbits neither.
What you wrote about looks good. It's nice that you share my opinion.

Why the Wargs look like they are trying to get a "fur-ball" vomit?
Isn't it better if they had the grauling, showing teeth kind of face?
Like in the Hobbit movie?!!!
